Strength of Many - Rakim

Anja Silverclaws -- Uma Thurman

Red Jaws -- Kurt Russel with a big hillbilly beard

Kajeha Lef -- Grace Jones

Seven Devil Clever -- Asia Carerra

Raksi -- Every hot actress not otherwise in the film. I doubt she's showed her actual human form for ages and probably has herself parked in Deadly Beastman Transformation if she's forced to revert.

Ma-Ha-Suchi -- Vin Diesel

On Orlando Bloom

I disagree with Bloom as Swan. Swan should be like Jet Li or Bruce Lee or someone hard. Now, Shepherd of the North Star, /that/ is a role for Orlando Bloom.

On Silliness

>>>Now you might say, Flagg, it's stupid and presumptuous to argue with the person who CREATED THE CHARACTERS about who should play the characters on film. In the same vein, it's stupid and presumptuous to argue with your girlfriend over what color her hair is. And I did just that yesterday. Arrogant bugger, ain't I?<<<

Whatever. =) If they put me in charge of casting Exalted: The Movie then I guess you're fucked, but otherwise, everyone's opinion is pretty much equally valid. I mean, geeze, we're talking about if Vin Diesel has the right voice to play a 9' goat man. I don't really feel like I'm speaking from a position of especial priviledge here.

I don't see Swan as boyish, though. I think he's definitely the most youthful of the Circle, but I always saw him more like Tom Cruise circa Top Gun, not Luke Skywalker. Young enough to not quite understand morality yet, not young enough to be a farmboy.

Further Thoughts

On Rakim -- I'm not really trying to cast to the art. Everyone changes around more than a funhouse mirror anyway depending on the artist. What really sticks is costume details. I think Rakim could carry off Strength of Many's peculiar ethos well.

I like Ed Norton as Swan.

Thinking about it, I think my best vote for Chejop Kejak would be Gene Hackman. I think he'd do an awesome job in the Sidereals opening fiction.

My cameo: I'd want to either be the Regent (I mean, that'd be so great as an excuse to act like a freak on camera and such a nice easteregg for actual fans of the game) or someone in the retinue of Harmonious Jade's First Age incarnation.

But... it might be pretty funny to have the three guys killing one- another in the Wood-Spider (Swan full-pager) scene flashback be me, Brian and John Chambers tho. The only thing better would be for it to be Justin, Chad and Brian.
