>>>[Ninja Scroll] is, above all else, a blood and sword stylized movie, and does its job faithfully and without much pause. That certainly is a lot more then I can say about some animation out there.<<<

I'm with Pug on this. I think it's a great tale of blood and swordplay. Yeah, it has vaginal mind control spit, oh well. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon has too much talking. I find Ninja Scroll to be the better film overall.

I didn't like Princess Mononoke. It's a beautifully drawn and totally laughable movie. It's incredible Exalted inspiration in terms of look and feel, but the message is the same old Japanese saw I learned back when Godzilla first fought the Smog Monster for my enjoyment on Saturday afternoon -- save the earth, save the earth. I already think man and nature need to live together, can I have my 90 minutes back? I thought Spirited Away was *much* better.

Exalted is not about anime. Exalted is about telling big stories about little people. Anime is a lens put on the game because people associate it with big plots and high action. If you've ever actually read any epics, you can just as easily use some other epic convention, the anime / visual style [is] just the one most familiar to the modern audience. If you don't like anime, run the Illiad instead.
