Maybe an intro to the First Age Alchemical thing...
The Alchemicals of the First Age
Well, this is a combination of two ideas... When I first saw Alchemicals in the Time of Tumult book, I imagined them as mechanical reflections of Lunars, somewhat like how Abyssals are dread reflections of Solars. You know, Darkness vs. Light and Inorganic vs. Organic. And then, Exalted: the Autochthonians came out. An extremely awesome book, with extremely awesome stories and extremely awesome characters. I just loved the book, despite the fact that it didn't really fit with my imaginations.
And then there was a comment in Patternspider.net forum (or was it the wiki? Bleh)--that said that it is oddly unlikely that eight mortals could save a Primordial, and knowing Exalted they must have been Exalted somehow. Though, who'd Exalt them? Only Autochthon would and could. But his Exalts are made from scratch... Maybe... Perhaps, the eight heroes of Autochthonia are "True Alchemicals" that are true amalgamation of life and machine. I thought, damn, that's awesome.
And a few months passed, and I couldn't sleep one night. Since I was distracted from Exalted due to my messed up plans, I thought maybe I could go through the Autobots book just because it's that awesome. Then the thought of "True Alchemicals" came across my mind. Then I found myself staring at Exalted e-books open on the desktop and typing on Notepad. : /
Oh well. I know that I'm a horrid writer with little determination, so it's very likely I'll forget about it within two or three weeks... Though, I hope that people like what I get done before then.
