The Chosen of Mars known as Auspicious Strife was born simply Fourth Son into a large family living in a small principality close to the river Avarice, south of Sijan. Like most of his siblings, Fourth Son was sent to the war against a neighboring kingdom, as child soldiers were a custom of these lands. Fourth Son was lucky to stay alive after his first battle, but he was grievously wounded and it took most of his early years to recover from all the injuries.

Now that his wounds were preventing him from fighting in future battles, Fourth Son tried to focus his skills towards the art of warfare. His ingenious advice often helped in positioning troops and picking the right battles. By Fourth Son's sixteenth birthday, his nation controlled much of Avarice, and his words guided platoons. Then became that fateful battle, when the Maiden of Battles shone brightly in the night sky and the combined army of the other principalities covertly attacked back.

Fourth Son did what was necessary. To hold the attackers back before the reinforcements could arrive, he sent his troops to a certain death, denying the invaders the foothold they were pursuing. When the reinforcements finally arrived, Fourth Son watched them battle through the eyes of a Sidereal Exalt. He didn't return to his unit after that, as he was approached by a man in strange crimson armor and taken to Heaven by him.

So began Fourth Son's training by the Five-Score Fellowship. He was given the name Auspicious Strife to signify his retirement from the mortal life. He was trained in battle by his sifu and his head was filled with countless battles and tactics by the First Age training methods. He was taught how to weave the strands of fate and how to tug a mortal's destiny to the course of his choice. In all this, Auspicious Strife turned out to be skilled.

After proving himself in the Creation by crafting the Resplendent Destiny of a Seventh Legion strategos and manipulating the fabric of Creation from Lookshy, Strife has finished his training. He has been steering the Seventh Legion to try allying with a circle of newly exalted Solars in the Scavenger Lands area and pressuring Mask of Winters to make the deathlord show the hand he's hiding in Thorns. This situation hasn't yet developed too far.
