Combos: - Demon of the Desert (Phantom Conjuring Performance, Respect Commanding Attitude) [-5 XP]
- One of Kanta's favored techniques, the specifics vary, but some elements are always the same: he declares himself the Demon of the Desert and regales people with impossible exploits which he has supposedly carried out. In fact, they even begin to see the exploits being carried out, although sometimes it can be confusing what is real or what not; the masterful storytelling almost always leaves them shaking in their boots.
- Multiple Mirage Evasion (Reed in the Wind, Masterful Performance Exercise) [-3 XP]
- Another staple technique, Kanta takes great advantage of his cloak, making a seasoned matador look like a novice, as he throws himself from side to side out of the way of incoming attacks, laughing maniacally as he does so and taunting the opponent, also stopping to pose - frequently - although he still usually manages to emerge unscathed.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------- Items Worth Note: - Storm Jacket (6 L/5 B Soak, Mob 0/Fat 1, 5 commit) - Stone of Resplendent Panoply
- (Creates clothes of any type that give +3 L/B soak, but does not count as armor. Lasts 24 hours after being seperated from stone)
- Manse in the trackless desert! Lunar-y! - A fan club, of sorts. People who want to imitate his glorious stories in the desert! (Followers) - A lolita who does all of his actual dirty work, including fighting. Prefers ranged weapons, and is pretty much his fangirl. Follows just about every order he gives - although sometimes he needs to inspire her. (No, this isn't Azeral, dammit. Extra dots represent a more submissive relationship. She als knows he's Anathema, and doesn't care.) <-- (Editor's Note: Sick bastard) - Lil' Sashimi plushie. It walks, it talks, it poses, but it can't fight. Hell if it's not entertaining though. Kept around by Koizumi Taiko. - A Winchester Shotgun! However, there is no such thing as ammunition in Exalted, nor does he have any clue on how to make it, nor will he ever find any. It's just a prop. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- +6 Init (+6 unarmed), 11 Dodge, 3 Attack, 1B Bashing damage.

Styles himself as a 'Handyman', although, 'Mercenary' would be more appropriate. Plies the desert for work, quickly resorting to robbery if work is hard to find or not the work he wants. Has built up a sizable reputation for solving 'problems' in the desert, and is sometimes challenged by people. However, he usually just regales them with stories of his 'accomplishments' until they flee in terror. If forced to fight, he lets the little girl (Koizumi Taiko) fight them instead. They usually are shocked by the strength of the little girl (A Dawn Exalt), consider Sunabouzu to be much stronger, and either flee or are defeated. If they actually press on to fight Kanta, he's in trouble.
Of note: he usually declares himself the 'Demon of the Desert' when robbing people, usually by showing off impossible feats, and there is strong suspicions of an anathema in the desert - Although Kanta himself has not been connected with this anathema, yet.
---- Full Background ----
Kanta Mizonu grew up in Chairoscuro, a wild boy. Never paid much attention to parents or anything, but spent most of his time running with orphans and thieves, joining in himself, laughing. His parents were a tavern maid and a porter at the docks; they didn't particularly care for Kanta more then his other brothers or sisters, most of which engaged in the same activities as him. As he grew up, he spent less and less time at home, until the first time he spent all night and day with them, forgetting ot return home for three days. Panicked at the end of this, he returned home.
They hadn't even seemed to notice he had gone. In a rage for attention, he took everything he could carry, and ran off, not to return, joining with the gang. As some of them got arrested and most of them were exiled into the desert, a convenient place to send criminals, most died. A few survived by doing whatever odd jobs they could, ranging from the trivial to the deadly - as did Kanta. Out of pure luck, and a group that had also pissed off a more important gang, he made his first big catch - he had been sent to steal back a sentimental item, and came just in time to see the last few being pounded to death - They turned to him, told him to never say a word of them doing this and to take the credit himself, and left.
He did just that. At this, he gained a few people who started attempting to imitate him, although they never followed him - they wanted to be a lone wolf badass, just like Kanta! This is also where the little girl started to follow him - purely by accident, he knocked out one of the warriors with a rock that came after him, in what looked like a cunningly set trap to everyone else. The girl, who had followed the unonscious man becuase he was strong, immediately started to follow Kanta instead. At the time, the girl was even younger - the age of eight.
This started a pattern. Kanta didn't have the ability to do most of the work he took on, but he had the power of charisma and bluff, and managed to bluff his way through the world. He did have the intelligence, at least, to make sure that her skills stayed sharp - And as time went by, he built up his myth, adding on story after story about impossible things he had done, often referring to his 'Winchester', hich was nothing more then a useless prop he had found in the desert. He thought the name sounded powerful, although it really was a bluff.
Exaltation: A time where a goup of bandits decided to put an end to him - specifically, a rogue section of the group he had claimed to be obliterated. Of course, his chances of actually getting out of this should have been slim to none. He did allhe could in an attempt to scare them off, until e saw a bright light, and a speech from The Uncoquered Sun (See above.)
When he looked around gain, the men had scattered and were running for their lives, screaming about a demon of the desert. He decided to adopt this for a psuedonym, and found, most importantly, his skill for bluffing and causing fear had increased tremendously; even the most ridiculous lies he had told before were now believes.
Since then, he has continued on what he sees as the ideal life, or as close to ideal as you can get in the desert; those who do not run away in abject fear from his reputation and sotires are often too scared to even fight off the unusually strong Koizumi, and thus, he lives without having to work. The desire for luxury and reputation are the two things he has an interet in, but, for the moment, intends to build up his reputation further before he cashes in and settles down on it into the eventual life of luxury. For now, the occasional distractions he allow shimself usually drain his resources - But he believes as long as his name becomes more famous, he's not really losing anything he can't get back easily.
