Introduction

The village center was empty save for a single woman.

No, a girl.

The Lord of Ice and Shadow slowed to a stop, scowling at the girl that sat at the edge of the fountiain. Flickering tongues of ice ravaged the hair where his hair should be, eyes of darkness regarded her with savagery, and his slender, eye-twistingly beautiful body tightened with rage.

"Where are my slaves!"

It was not a question. It was a demand.

Her body was small, shorter than even the average woman. While not elegant or beautiful, she had a certain charm all the same. Her clothes were less than simple, more than ragged, and she carried a long, slim covered bundle, taller than she was.

She brushed her white hair from her face, and looked up at him with a youthful face. A single black spot surrounded one eye, and she smiled as she undid the bundle, revealing a long, simple blade that glimmered in the moonlight.

"I'm here to discuss that with you, Wyld one. They've decided not to be your slaves anymore, and they sent me to tell you."

Lucky

Symbology : Devotion, Protection, Service

Dogs have long been the domesticated companions and servants of humans; they have also frequently been sacrificed for the benefit of master or group. Northwest Native American myths, describe dogs carrying out various taksts for the glory of their masters. Western Himalayan peoples annually sacrificed dogs to protect themselves from diseases and misfortune. in the mountainous regions of Japan, villagers would importune the gods for black, rain-filled clouds by sacrificing a black dog.

I chose to play up the "Protective" aspects of the dog totem, creating a wandering samurai-like lunar who protects the weak. Making her a cute dalmation chick is only a bonus :)

She also displays another point: a Lunar doesn't necessarily need DBT to be a powerful fighter. Lucky is devastating against other melee fighters, especially Solars who tend to rely on their parry dice pool for survival.

There are, of course, many many other options. A mere glance at the sheer variety of breeds shows this. A bulldog is vastly different than a poodle. A tricky, changing moon chihuahua with a sense of humor can be very different from a black no-moon blood hound that summons the rain for his villages. However, in almost all cases, a dog will be a "city" lunar, a creature that serves mankind and civilization. This is the nature of a domesticated beast.
