Invincible Avalanche Style
"You cannot beat the practitioners of the Invincible Avalanche Style for their attacks are overpowering and their bodies unbreakable!"
By - SpicyMcHaggis

This is a low-level Terrestial style used by weak Terrestials and many non-exalted essence users. It is a very widespread style known by many across the 4 corners of creation. It goes by many different names it is the Thundering Tsunami Style in the West, the Scorching Duneslide Style in the South and many other variations around the world. The original master was an Earth Dragon Blood who was obssessed with surving the worse nature had to offer, he survived all sorts of natural disasters but was taken aback by the sheer destructive power of the Northern Avalanche. From that day foward he physically abused himself and worked out so that he too could strike with the sheer overpowering brute force of the avalanche. He is often accredited as an inspiration for the Earth Dragon Immaculate Style and some of his texts are read by initiates in their early training days.

The style is characterized by single overpowering attacks and sheer toughness, it is usable with Sledges and Maces and Clubs and Axes(And all artifact equivalents) as well as all armour.

Crushing Strike of Stone
Cost 3 motes
Duration Instant
Type Supplemental
Min MA 2
Min Essence 1
Prerequisites None
When the Avalanche comes, it comes in a torrent of power and mass that obliterates all in it's path. The most heavily armoured man can stand in the path of that powerful mass and be destroyed just like his bare naked counterpart. This charm makes an unarmed attack piercing. If the attack was already piercing then it halves the target's natural soak.

Implacable Devastation Technique
Cost 5 motes + 1 per day
Duration Days
Type Simple
Minimum Martial Arts 3
Minimum Essence 1
Prerequisites None
The Avalance knows no end, it stops when it runs out of inertia for nothing else can stand in it's way. It stops not to rest except when it wants. The martial artist who knows this charm can emulate that tenacity, for 5 motes he can resist the need to sleep for one day and feel no ill effects. For each day after the first he must commit an extra mote to keep those effects. When he lets the effects of the charm lapse he crashes like the landslide run out of inertia, he must then rest for a number of days equal to the days he spent sleepless.

Unexpected Shift of Land
Cost 1 mote
Duration Insant
Type Reflexive
Minimum Martial Arts 3
Minimum Essence 1
Prerequisites None
Avalanches can strike at anytime, and move with a sudden ferocity. Often a seemingly perfect example of a stable mountain is disturbed something minor and an entire wall of ice begins it's deadly tumbling descent. The Martial Artist can emulate this by striking quickly and from any position. This charm can be used for the Martial Artist to fight with no penalty from any sort of disadvantageous or relaxed position. He can go from lying down sleeping to fierce warrior in seconds.

Village Wrecking Blow
Cost 4 motes
Duration Instant
Type Supplemental
Minimum Martial Arts 3
Minimum Essence 1
Prerequisites None
An avalance is a destroyer of towns and even small cities all across the North, entire tribes and peoples buried under the snow. The martial artist can strike such powerful blows that entire building collapse underneath the sheer weight of the avalanche's destructive power. This charm doubles the raw damage of an attack against an inanimate object.

Gathering Destruction Style
Cost 1 mote per 1B
Duration Insant
Type Reflexive
Minimum Martial Arts 3
Minimum Essence 1
Prerequisites Crushing Strike of Stone
The character can, like the avalanche, gather his mass and force before unleashing it's destructive power. For each mote spent he can add 1B to his attacks damage but takes a -2 to his initiative roll. This charm must be used before intiative is rolled.

Invincible Avalanche Form
Cost 5 motes
Duration Scene
Type Simple
Minimum Martial Arts 3
Minimum Essence 2
Prerequisites Gathering Destruction Style\Village Wrecking Blow\Implacable Devastation Technique\Unexpected Shift of Land
The martial artist becomes the Avalanche as his attacks become quick and powerful and he becomes as implacable as the force of nature he is. He adds his MA Score to his Initiative as well as his Essence score to both his raw damage and his bashing and lethal soak.

Fist Against Rock Technique
Cost 7 motes, 1 HL
Duration Instant
Type Reflexive
Minimum Martial Arts 4
Minimum Essence 2
Prerequisites Invincible Avalanche Form
Trying to break a rock with your fists is an exercise in futility for most, and trying to strike a mass of rock and soil is an act of stupidity. With this in mind the Martial Artist can make one such attack against his own person as futile, a single attack that does bashing damage does no damage to the Martial Artist. He cannot try to defend against the attack in anyway other than using this charm. The HL paid for this charm is unsoakable and cannot be healed by magic.

Body Battering Style
Cost 5 motes, 1 WP
Duration Scene
Type Simple
Minimum Martial Arts 4
Minimum Essence 2
Prerequisites Invincible Avalanche Form
A person caught in an avalanche finds no respite from shelter or from his own armour. There is no thing that can protect a person from the furious battering onslaught of the mountain. The Martial Artist subtracts his Martial Arts rating from his opponent's bashing and lethal soak as well as from the bashing and lethal soak of any inanimate objects he attacks.

Avalanche Buries the Army
Cost 8 motes, 1 WP
Duration Instant
Type Simple
Minimum Martial Arts 5
Minimum Essence 3
Prerequisites Body Battering Style\Fist Against Rock Technique
The Martial Artist that has reached the pinnacle of the Invincible Avalanche Style is a foe indeed for one cannot swat away his blows. An attack enhanced by this charm is unparryable, but the Martial Artist cannot take any defense actions. This charm cannot be placed in a combo with any Extra Action charms or charms that give the Martial Artist a defensive action.

Comments my nizzles, for it is unfinished!

Ho Spicey! Noticed you have a Wiki Page so I thought I'd check it out. Interesting style, though I've got a question on Fist Against Rock Technique. Why a level of agg instead of the typical 1 unsoakable, unhealable by magic HL that most such charms require? -Eustacio

And a simple answer my good man. Because I forgot that mechanic existed. ;) Changed. Also I added a new charm, yah! - SpicyMcHaggis
That makes sense, and good deal. It fits the other charms of that nature now. Body Battering Style. Looks like a useful charm for where it is in the tree. I could see making it 6 motes, but 5 isn't bad either, especially considering that it's meant to be a 'weaker' style. -Eustacio
You think the mechanics are weak enough to support my "weaker style" statement? I intend for this to be a nice shortish MA(1-2 more charms) for a Heroic Mortal or God Blooded type. - SpicyMcHaggis
I think it is, though I think the pinnacle charm is a little too weak. No defensive actions is pretty harsh (it's a Simple charm, so you can't technically split your actions anyway, IIRC, so that's a moot point). It might be enough to say 'You cannot combo this with any charms that let you parry or dodge, or MA charms.' That would allow someone to combo it with some sort of passive soak charm at least. I realize for DBs that's a moot point thanks to their ability to use reflexives, but if anyone else wanted to learn it...then again, maybe that's an actual advantage to the DBs.
Oh, and also, you might try the \ instead of the / to avoid getting the ? to make a new Wiki Link. -Eustacio
Well I fiddled with the last charm a bit, so now you can use soak adders with it. And I added a new charm and re-arranged the style a bit to make it more exciting. ;) - SpicyMcHaggis
