Bosuk was born to House Cathak, from parents of middling importance. He did well in primary school and showed great promise as a warrior even before his Exaltation. He led several House military forays into contested territory, and never failed to accomplish the objective. At the age of 21, he was Exalted. Shocked and confused, his entire upbringing called into question, he stole his father's heirloom orichalcum daiklave and fled. His manservant, however, alerted the household and he was forced to fight his way out. He had almost escaped their Manse when his mother, a formidable warrior herself, confronted him at the door and tried to kill him. After a brief exchange of blows, in which he was wounded by his reluctance to harm her, she informed him that he was no longer her son and that she would kill him or die. They resumed battle and he cut off her left arm above the elbow. He left her lying in the dirt and fled to the harbor, where he stowed away on a cargo ship and hopped off when it docked at Port Calin. He then continued to flee, wandering the world on a quest of self-discovery. What he saw amazed him. The world at large was very different from his luxurious upbringing. During this period, he gained a love of life and freedom, and came to hate the Dragon-Blooded who strangled the Realm. After a few years, he was caught by the Wyld Hunt, and managed to fight them off single-handedly. A watching Lunar, Dark Moon Rising, approached him. They soon became friends, as well as master and disciple. Dark Moon Rising was also a loyal friend to Bosuk's First Age incarnation, though neither of them knows this. From Dark Moon, Bosuk learned honor and honed his raw talent into something quite frightening. Eventually, they went their separate ways, but still occasionally meet.

Bosuk is approximately 5'11", with spiky red hair and tanned skin. He prefers to fight unarmored, and is almost suicidally determined to do the right thing, regardless of the cost. He has no obvious personality flaws, loves to fight, is very honorable, and will rescue you whether or not you want to be rescued.

He does not revere the Unconquered Sun, and views his Exaltation only as a tool to be used for his personal goals, not as a blessing or gift. He dislikes Immaculate clerics and those who oppress the weak.

He will eat almost anything, will wear almost anything, will make friends with almost anyone, and won't kill someone unless he knows them well enough to be sure they deserve it.

His ultimate goal and plan for righting the world's wrongs is to crown himself Emperor.
