Wise and Fool
The Palace of Timeless Winters...
The Library smells of roses and dust... full of so many volumes. The center of wisdom for the visiting royal family, for the deals of the powerful of Spire with its many deities, for the military wisdom needed as one of Whiteshield's frontiers. Its staff run around, the librarian a child of Arian, the god of cats, her features showing in feline irises.
And there, Fiona stands on a table, multiple volumes of sorcerous treatises and story books piled in front of her...
- Gennadi has never been especially impressed with libraries. There is a vast difference between the living knowledge and the dead tomes, a story and etched letters, and one that he prefers to be on the interesting side of. Still, he's done entirely too much research in libraries, and so he knows how to act. This means he doesn't at all, taking a peek up Fiona's dress and tapping her on the ankle. "Hey. Got a minute?"
Fiona: So, she was up there, trying to coordinate the librarians to bring the right things from th right shelves across the library... so many books, so little time! She wondered how fast she could chew through this library.... oooh, it would not be so fast at all!
And then, he was there. Looking up her skirt!
Eeek!
She cried out, hands between her legs pushing the skirt in so his view would be nothing... hopefully....
"... you just earned another queued slap."
- Gennadi hasn't moved at all, and now his eyes are on hers. Given what she knows of his Exaltion, that could be a very good cover or what he meant to do in the first place, and was just waiting for her to pay enough attention to move. "Why don't you take a break and we can clear it? I need to talk to you before I leave for Heaven."
Fiona: She makes a face, slowly moving down from the table(she was a far cry from the nimbleness of most Exalted around her, and try to jump down from the table would likely end in disaster), and looked up at him... "Nice eyes. Like Alexsei's." She nods, touching a book, with a rise of dust. "Take a break? Why?"
- Gennadi raises a finger to her lips. "shhh... It's not good to talk so loudly in the library."
Fiona: She makes a longer face. "Answer." She whispers, almost.
- Gennadi leans in, lips brushing her cheek and settling just past her ear. "I can't talk about everything I'm going to do on my "vacation" in public, dear. And I have a personal request for a friend as well." He pats her shoulder. "It won't take too long, don't worry."
Fiona: She sighs. "Fine." Is all she says, a gesture of dismissal to the people bringing the books, as she walks to the librarian girl... "Cida, just leave the books there, I'm going to return soon, alright? Just going out a bit with my... 'friend' here." She says with a smile, walking out of the Library and waiting on Gennadi to guide her... wherever they'll have this 'talk'
- Gennadi slips an arm around her waist and turns, a step against the wall of the library... and then another. And anothe as he merrily strides up it to slide onto the roof, sitting her down after that flurry of measured motion. A cool wind blows across them as he grins. "If you'd just jumped off the table, I could have gotten us up here without all the trouble."
Fiona: She is sat down, blinking, not sure she understood the movements that placed her there... "... you are full of tricks. Now, what lascivious tales of your vacation am I about to hear now, hmmm?"
Gennadi: "Oh. I'm going to Heaven and... I'm likely going to be a while. Not really sure how things are going to turn out yet." He sits down beside her and draws his legs up, resting his chin on his knees. "So I wanted to make sure you could take care of Sandara while I was gone."
Fiona: Her long brown hair fee of its usual ponytails, she just hangs her head back, staring into space for a moment... "Heaven... you know, I heard about it. You really are going there, right? Where the true Gods live, not simply a sanctum?" She tries to imagine... she had been in a court once, and that had been madness.... "Sandara? The one with dark skin...?"
Gennadi: "Mhm. The demoness. She'll be quite nervous, I expect. Yes, the gods, though the incarna stay out of the way." He waves his hand. "Wonders greater than the first age, the city to begin all others, and a few more grandiose claims."
Fiona: She takes on his words... tilting her head, golden earrings tingling, as her delicate hands held to the hems of her green overcoat, trying to imagine... to imagine.... to imagine heaven. Its wonders, its greatness... a place to visit, someday. A place she wanted to visit, and would move heaven and earth to, she now knew. But.... "... why would she be nervous?"
Gennadi: "She's a virgin neomah with a Serenities master who will be gone, with a rather confusing mix of urges and personality. Wouldn't you be nervous?"
Fiona: Her palm hits her face, the golden chains around her forearms tingling even more. "A virgin neomah! Alright... alright, this is big. I guess I can look after her... what is she like?"
Gennadi: "She's a shrine maiden, so to speak. Only for malfeas." He chuckles. "But she's so cute and sweet about it."
Fiona: "A shrine maiden? Now that you mention it..." She touches her chin, giving some balance to her face, and thinking... remembering when she last saw Sandara... "... she was clothed as one, wasn't she?" She thinks... all the possibilities! "I'm sure I can do it - think I can learn alot from her.... I never summoned any demons, never wanted to, so I have no knowledge of Malfeas at all..."
Gennadi: "Be careful. Don't ask too many questions, and be considerate. Of course, if I thought you wouldn't, I wouldn't be asking you. Ah, you're going to learn a lot these next few weeks, of heaven and hell."
Fiona: "How can I learn without asking? And if you think I would not... then you really don't know me!"
Gennadi: "Oh, I think you won't. It's just this hunch I have. Call it... intuition." He grins at her, sharpedged. "As I said, don't ask too many. This is malfeas, little one. Some things you don't want to know. Some things you do, but shouldn't. And some things will just keep you up at night, even with a nice warm body against you to help you sleep."
Fiona: "And I guess you must understand everything of having warm bodies against you, hmmm?" She smiles, an inquisitive tone, leaning foward, pointing a finger. "I can see your blue eyes. Kanti and Millia have told me you are a 'Chosen of Venus'. I see in your pattern, little scars on your essence, that you are a Sorcerer as well."
The butterfly flashes a smug, smug smile.
"That raises many questions... but the foremost is, of course - why have you been so open about what is clearly a secret?"
Gennadi: "So as not to distract people from the important things with having to ferret out my subterfuge. Really, with Alexsei and the trouble going on, why would I put the effort into maintaining the front when, again, there are more important things to be done?" His grip is not crushing, but he does take her wrist, kissing the back of her hand before scanning her palm with featherlight touches. "Given your tone and your transition, somehow I don't think that's the foremost question in your mind. I remember our kiss."
Fiona: A slight blush on her cheeks.
Angry eyes.
Parting lips.
Tingling chains.
Damn you.
You just have to ruin it for me to play Savant, don't you?
"Ooooh, I do." She says, making an angry face to hide a blush, "And that's the first slap I owe you. Want it now?"
Gennadi: "What fun would that be?" He follows a line across her palm quickly. "You've only got two, best to save them for a better occasion. It won't be that long, according to what I'm seeing." He pauses to think a minute. "Is there something you'd like me to bring back from my trip? A small something, mind. I do not intend to haul forbidden tomes out of the basement of the ivy manse." He switches paths abruptly as he speaks, slooowly following the new line.
Fiona: "Careful there... or I'll owe you a third." She says with a smile that tries its very best to be threatening...
But the Vestal... she enjoyed being held like that too much.
"A dreamstone. A dreamstone of someone seeing Heaven, for the first time. Well, two."
"One for me..."
"The other... is something me and Alex, we decided to give to Kanti..."
Gennadi: "Interesting. You don't want to wait and see Heaven for yourself firsthand?" He eyes her appraisingly, and despite the fact his gaze travels far less forbidden places than his earlier glance, she feels naked and vulnerable. "What gift have you decided to give Kanti, hrm?"
Fiona: "Oh, sorry... I... I must have said it wrong... a dreamstone. She misses heaven so much... so much..." She felt so naked. As it was needed, the only thing she felt, was chained. Helpless, cute, submissive, all the chains radiated, was now turned inward... and she felt chained in gold and azure. "And waiting... seems nice. But Kanti..."
Gennadi: "The same one? There's quite a wide variety, of every experience known to man or woman, and some more besides." He reaches out to stroke her cheek. "You seem distracted. Should I go? We can discuss details later."
Fiona: "Yes. Please." Please don't go? No.... "Please, go. Just... just get the Dreamstone for Kanti. She needs to see it..."
"I will wait... I willl!"
"Just... go...."
- Gennadi lets go and turns away. For a moment. Then she finds herself on her back, wrists pinned above her head to the roof. Gennadi rests atop her, sharp grin and twinkling eyes. He kisses his way up her neck to rest, looking sideways at her as he whispers into her ear. "Dear Fiona... you are a truly wretched liar. I think you need more practice."
Fiona: To be pinned. To be bound. Like she did...
Like Mis... the Vestal...
Like her..
But it is a... man...
And he is so...
Bastard....
Sexy...
Bastard...
Pinned. Held. Like she had been, bringing the memories, his breath, his scent...
Making her remember, body, mind and soul... and feel...
"I... I am not lying... just... just go..."
- Gennadi nips her on the very tip of her earlobe. "You are enjoying this entirely too much for me to go. It's not that I'm going to tell anyone, but it's going to be rather difficult if every time I take your hand or, perhaps, give you a friendly hug of greeting." He shakes his head, "And you had on such innocent underwear. Perhaps I need to revise my theory."
Fiona: "Stooop...." Helpless. Enjoying it, true... too much, far too much...
"It is innocent... I am..."
Even... though...
She tried to struggle, but nothing of hers' was in it. So very weakly...
Gennadi: "It seems that, despite your knowledge, I am the experienced one in this sort of sorcery. It seems I'll have to be careful around you. All my arts are binding, martial and marital both." He winks at her, giving time for the words to sink in. "A dreamstone for yourself and a dreamstone for Kanti. I've wanted to return her to heaven, but it's nearly impossible with her current state. A shame, since returning her might help change that. In the meantime, you'll take good care of Sandara? So alike, protesting innocence while deep inside urges push them farther. Maybe you're a good liar after all, eh?" He tenses a bit, halfway expecting a violent reaction with the vaunted solar pride and arrogance.
Fiona: "But on other sorceries... I am better..."
Binding.
Bind.
Bind me...
"Bin... you... yes, that. That... she..." Was she a good liar? A bad liar? Was she....He expected her to fight, but she did no such thing. She did not know what to do, she could get away, but did not really want to get away, she felt so... bound. "Just go..." She says one last time. Maybe the last time she would have strength to...
- Gennadi nods, and promptly slides into one long, breathtaking kiss. Moments after it finally seems to end, he pecks her on the nose, and the now cold wind whirls across her body as he seems to vanish. Words trail back to her, slightly distorted by motion and speed. "Of course. Just giving you what you want."
Fiona: He kissed her. Again!
And she liked it?
Flustered, frustrated, frantic....
She got up slowly, her chains bonding her tightly... her lips curling up...
"... I owe you three slaps now."
