Look But Don't Touch Method</b>

Those who possess Cipher know its mysteries. Although they may appear present, others find it frustratingly difficult to strike them. Activating this Charm reduces the die pool of an attack against the character which she is aware of. For every mote spent, the character may reduce the attack's die pool by two. The character may not reduce more dice than her Cipher + Essence. This Charm may not be used in conjunction with any parry attempt; if it reduces an attack to 0 dice, the attack misses automatically.
Unflinching Hero Technique</b>

A true hero need not worry about attacks; they sail past, leaving him untouched and unworried. The character may activate this Charm in response to any attack. Increase the difficulty to hit the character by her Cipher rating. This Charm may not be used in conjunction with any dodge attempt.
Honourable Soul Defense</b>

The true hero is never caught by surprise, and those who would attempt such find their efforts stymied, as their attacks slide aside and miss their targets. This Charm may only be activated in response to an attack against which the character is not aware. The attack's difficulty is increased by the character's Cipher + Essence. This Charm may not be used in conjunction with a dodge attempt.
Easy Avoidance Technique</b>

Even blows that seem impossible to avoid can be avoided by a master of Cipher. This Charm may be activated in response to any attack, aware of it or not; it takes the place of either a dodge or a parry, and is considered whichever of the two it replaces; it may, however, be activated after the other option is attempted. The attack is avoided. This is a perfect defense. This Charm may not be used as a dodge against undodgeable effects, nor as a parry against unparryable effects. Against undodgeable, unparryable effects, it may be used, but consumes both the dodge and parry attempt of the character for the attack and costs an additional 2 motes.
Invincible Hero Technique</b>

True heroes do not fear the attacks of the masses. When this Charm is activated, the character is a dynamo of motion. The character may choose to apply a difficulty penalty of the character's Cipher rating to all attacks against her, perceived or not. If they do so, they may only dodge or parry the attack, not both.
Out of Sight, Out of Mind</b>

The character moves like a shadow through the world, ensuring that she is forgotten as soon as she departs. Any character who wishes to remember interacting with the character after she departs must roll Perception + Awareness. If they interacted significantly with the character, add one success, and if any physical evidence of the encounter (such as injury or payment) were given, add another one. If the character fails to beat the Champion's Cipher + Essence rating, she cannot remember any details about the Champion, including gender or name. If she beats the Champion's Cipher + Essence rating, she remembers the event normally. The Champion may choose to have up to her Essence in details remain with anyone affected by this Charm (name, weapon, gender, hair colour, etc). This does not alter the difficulty of the roll.
Like A Shadow Through The World</b>

The Champion appears only when needed, and otherwise slides through the world unnoticed. Provided she does not do anything to draw attention to herself, most people won't notice her. If they are not actively looking for her, they must succeed at a Perception + Awareness roll at a difficulty of her Cipher + Essence to notice her at all. If they are actively looking for people, they must make the roll only at a difficulty of the character's Essence. If the character is actively sneaking, roll this attempt before the normal opposed stealth roll is attempted.
Innocuous Stranger Method</b>

A Champion is not always what is required, and the character must sometimes be innocuous and unnoticed. With this Charm, the character becomes perfectly anonymous. She may interact with people, provided that she does not attempt to draw undue attention towards herself through sudden or violent action, and she may converse normally. People will react to her as they would to any stranger, and after she departs, they will not remember her as anything but an anonymous stranger. This is a perfect stealth effect. Obviously, the character may not take advantage of Allies, Contacts, Influence, Mentor or Reputation while under the effects of this Charm.
Dark And Silent Technique</b>

The character becomes an ominous shadow, and looms in the darkness. This Charm cloaks the character perfectly in a veil of shadows. Any roll to detect her, by sight or sound, suffer a difficulty penalty equal to the character's Essence; even if detected, exact details about the character cannot be determined, as light and sound react strangely around the character to conceal their true identity. Finally, the character may hide in plain sight; they may make Stealth rolls and apply the difficulty penalty to awareness attempts against the normal Stealth roll.
Stepping Outside The World Technique</b>
<b>Cost: 8 motes, 1 Willpower Type:: Simple Duration: Indefinite Minimum Cipher: 5 Minimum Essence: 3 Prerequisites: Dark And Silent Technique, Easy Avoidance Technique
The character takes a deep breath, and steps away from the world. This charm requires the character to spend three turns sitting silently and focusing, during which time the character slowly fades from view. When the Charm activates, the character slips into a space between the material and immaterial world, leaving her veiled and hidden. The character may pass through solid objects in this manner; doing so deals a level of bashing damage to the character per turn. She is perfectly invisible, and may not interact physically with objects in this state; any roll to detect her has its difficulty increased by her Cipher + Essence, even if she wishes to be understood. To end the Charm, the character must spend another three turns focusing, during which time she gradually becomes visible - the difficulty to spot her drops to her Cipher on the first turn, to 1 on the second turn, and is automatic on the third, but during this time she may not be attacked or otherwise touched. Effects that attack dematerialized beings may be used against the character, but suffer a +3 difficulty penalty to strike her. Effects that can see dematerialized beings reduce the difficulty to spot the character to her Essence.
