 -PROLOGUE

It happened sooner than the stars foretold. Li Tuau had arrived a scant few minutes too late to keep the Mandates within the Grand Celetial Safe. The deity had lay dying, drowning in a pool of its own fluids, and the safe he was both guarding and a part of had been destroyed and raided. The god had little to exist for now, and had offered no information in evidence nor conversation to the whereabouts of what he guarded or who the perpetrators were.

Li Tuau knelt by the deity's head, the aged Sidereal in the frail body looking with both disdain and mercy to the dying. He looked once more to the lower body of the deity, the actual safe itself, then back, asking, "You wish to expire now and relieve your pain do you not?"

The deity tried to talk, gurgling up golden bile foaming upon his lips. It nodded its head to indicate its desire. Li Tuau allowed his eyes to glow as his Essence flew from him and into the deity, insuring the god passed on to his next existence without further pain.

Then the old man righted himself, knees cracking from the strain as he commented, "I envy you, dead god. It is the curse of the survivor that some have been alotted more time to their life than those they wish to be with. Knives can cut the soul, but time can shred a soul." Then as he shambled back to his domicile, Li Tuau looked to the north, asking himself, "That Bureau did not do such...or can they? Has their grasp now bested their reach and is this but the start of their devilish designs?"
