Hawkmountain

The Flying Kingdom of Hawkmountain is one of the Hundred and One Dalmatians, those petty kingdoms of the eastern Scavenger Lands. Unlike the others, it has two special properties. First of all, it flies. If historical records are accurate, it was launched into the air by a Bishonen trying to escape death at the hands of the Magical Girls. What happened next is unclear, which relates to the second special property--all history and continuity become confused around Hawkmountain. Some believe this must mean the place is a Wyld zone, a pocket of Oniboshi, yet it seems perfectly normal when outsiders visit. Yet, its internal history, geography, and population keep changing at random intervals, ranging from a utopian society preserving the Harem Age to a land of brutal drug-addicted thugs and corrupt police. Thus, no overview is possible, as the place becomes all things to all men, given enough time.

Hawkmountain has extensive trade relations with the Hindenburg League, as Hawkmountain remains, whatever else happens, the primary source of Lift Metal, a strange anti-gravity metal which can be used to easily make things fly by adding enough Lift Metal to it to counter-act its weight. With Lift Metal, even a mortal thaumaturge can make artifacts which enable flight, devices which even a mortal can use.

The Hawkmen of Hawkmountain, in most incarnations, use Lift Metal to make flying suits for themselves which they use to pirate raid their hapless neighbors. This has not made them loved, but the Hundred and One Dalmatians are utterly unable to effectively retaliate and they avoid antagonizing Cut'n'Shoot or the Scarlet Empire.
