Requirements: Any Crafts at 3, Kismet 2 Prerequisites: Savant's Soul
Within their area of expertise, a Savant can design artifacts with commendable speed. The character chooses a single specialty, such as Close Combat Weapons, Airships, Furniture, or Lightning-Powered-Devices. When researching or designing these objects, they make their rolls per day, instead of per week. The character may purchase this Understanding a number of times equal to her Kismet score, choosing a new specialty each time.
<b>Incredible Guesswork</b>
Requirements: Any Crafts at 3, Kismet 3 Prerequisites: Savant's Soul
Sometimes, a character simply understands what she wants. By spending 2 points of Kismet, the character may compress all three of her design rolls into a single time interval.
<b>Dreaming Genius</b>
Requirements: Any Crafts at 3, Wits 3, Kismet 3 Prerequisites: Leaps Of Logic
The character is a true master of creation. She may use a single night's sleep as design time for any devices that she has a Leap of Logic specialty in. However, she may only use (Wits + Crafts) rolls for this process.
Construction
<b>Many Hands Make Light Work</b>
Requirements: Any Crafts at 3, Charisma 3, Kismet 3 Prerequisites: Savant's Soul
With the proper assistance, a skilled Savant can direct workers to accomplish great things. The character may add her Kismet as automatic successes to all rolls made by workers to support the construction or Large or Massive objects, at the cost of 2 Kismet.
<b>Master of Construction</b>
Requirements: Any Crafts at 3, Kismet 3 Prerequisites: Leaps Of Logic
Designing an object is all well and good, but if you can't create it, what's the point? With this Understanding, any artifact construction that the character has a Leap of Logic specialty in is accomplished in intervals of days, rather than weeks, at the cost of 2 Kismet. All multipliers remain unaffected.
<b>Instant Construction</b>
Requirements: Any Crafts at 4, Kismet 4 Prerequisites: Master of Construction
A very few Savants have the wherewithal to construct items at truly amazing speeds. This Understanding may be activated at the cost of 5 Kismet, and may not be used on Large or Massive artifacts. The character may construct the artifact in an interval measured in hours, rather than weeks.
<b>Genius At Work</b>
Requirements: Any Crafts at 3, Kismet 3 Prerequisites: Leaps Of Logic
Savants sometimes find that they are noticeably better at working the occult principles of their creations than they are at anything else. This Understanding permanently enhances any roll made to work on a type of artifact that the character has purchased Leaps of Logic for. The character gains a number of automatic successes equal to her Kismet on each roll.
<b>The Many Are As One</b>
Requirements: Any Crafts at 5, Kismet 5 Prerequisites: Genius At Work
The true masters of artificery care not what complexity their artifact is. This Understanding permanently enhances any roll to construct any types of artifacts that the character has purchased Leaps of Logic for. The character ignores all external penalties to create those artifacts.
