Morpheus is an incredibly elusive figure in the most ancient histories of the wyld and creation - a demon or god or ancient behemoth whose reality was dreams, and whose shape was madness.
Morpheus is a solar exalt and sorcerer, 10 years exalted, though recently escaped from the fiery tomb which sought to hold back his power.
- Went to childhood home. Met Renee.
- Spoke to mother in her dreams. Found out about death of step-dad by father's hand.
- Sent message to Renee via pigeon after meeting her on the road, informing her of the nature of father's death
- Went to Nexus. Found Vair. Reunited with old contacts. Stole for bread.
- Met Renee. She led me into an alley and attacked me, revealing my identity. I opened up the anathema option. She seemed wary.
- Met Vair to discover means of preventing occult intrusion
- Met Renee again, using occult precautions. She showed me the lenses, and revealed her knowledge of father's fey dealings and her intentions to stop him. Found out about Wood Aspect. I assisted her in planning her move.
- Found out about battle inside Earth Manse. Determined that the fey had mind-controlled Renee and used her to escape. Followed the Wood Aspect to the temple, bribed couriers to learn that the fey and Renee were in nobleman's house.
- One shot at the Gerevian Estate - Morpheus saw that the beautiful and fiery noble and his Renee had been disguised to mortal eyes. He saw also into their plans to escape using a magical ruby and orichalcum bridle on a fiery fey unicorn. The remainder of the Gerevian family was loaded into the carriage, and the flaming Lady was prepared to make away with Renee. Morpheus considered, and positioned himself 5 blocks away, standing high on a ledge above an empty courtyard. The Lady was moving toward the carriage. Morpheus acted, revealing his essence to the city and, utilizing the Right Arm of Sunlight, cast a spell of fire hurtling toward the unexpecting fey. His aim was true. The Noble received the orb of burning death just above her heart. The blow sent off waves of flame and showers of sparks, and toppled the now burning and ruined carriage. Satisfied, Morpheus disengaged to witness the aftermath. The fey had escaped on her magical steed, but Renee was safe, and so too the Gerevian family.
- Left Renee in the care of the Immaculate temple, and kept watch for father.
- Approached by a woman with red eyes while studying in the library. She claimed to work for heaven. Made a deal: the location of the manse for assistance finding a trainer.
- Researched and spoke with X, a solar dawn caste running a mercenery guild out of Nexus. Agreed to help him with jobs in exchange for help finding a trainer for sorcery.
- Spoke with Semour, who agreed to train me for nothing out of respect for the solar exalted as the former masters of his kind. Claimed to work out of Heaven. Blue eyes.
- Agreed to escort an agent of Heaven chosen by Semour to my former manse.
- Escorted Semour to manse. Learned about Sidereal Arcane Fate.
- Encountered Simone in manse, who gave us what she called a forgery of the red sword, Ashen Vengeance. She agreed to grant me warning of incoming Wyld Hunt attacks in exchange for my efforts to open a floating manse, 5/5, which is outside of fate, or at least undetectable. Signed scroll of mutual non-agression with Semour as witness.
- Returned to Nexus and finished learning Private Plaza of Downcast Eyes
- Met Simone while wearing Semour's blue jade bracelet of recording. Used Zephyr to reach cloud manse
- Opened the manse with a touch and a thought. Spoke with it about it's true purpose, which it would not disclose. Learned of it's hatred for sidereals, and it's distaste for dragonbloods. It's lonely. Convinced it to let Simone attune to prevent its destruction, then returned to Nexus.
- Running down a corridor searching for someone. Calling out a name I can't remember. Then a strong female with a Battles aura surprises me and falls dead before a woman with the manse's voice. The woman says "I can't stop them forever. Find her quickly."
- Received a message from X, a.k.a. Snake, calling in my favor.
- Met Snake and discussed a potential job involving the destruction of a group known as the Celebrant's Circle. The group's reward would be an exquisite set of orichalcum weapons. Agreed to investigate to find out why someone wanted them out of the way so badly.
- Found many rumors: TheNexusProject/CelebrantsCircle. Found out that the Golden Lion Guild refused the contract on supposedly moral grounds. Informed Snake.
- During sleep at an inn, dreams were invaded by a fae noble, Merlin, who was sitting in my room when I awoke. Discussed the fate of the sword Ashen Vengeance. He claims that he's an exile attempting to protect the east from his court, which is seeking it. He inspires in me dreams of the first age.
- Go to different inn and dream of the first age.
- Courtroom. Enchantress, projecting love at judge. Chopakta, the lunar, accompaning me. I'm on trial for demonic trafficing, and am found innocent
- Destroying the southern Bitter Flower Empire, executing the twilight queen, and ordering the questioning of the fae queen. Fought with Flawless Mirror.
- Planning the construction of the manse with the Enchantress. Needed Fae for construction. Had one.
- Taking daughter through manse to safety, with sword. Placed her in stasis in the hearthstone chamber.
- Killed in the manse by sidereals, in the plural.
- Talked to Seymour about fae, and discussed the fate of the sword. He needed to find Simone, who was missing, and I wanted to find the sword, which I suspected was in the manse, so we set off for it.
- Entered manse alone. Read books on demon-summoing. Finally convinced the manse that I was one of it's builders. Convinced the manse to break the seal on the hearthstone room, and entered. Attuned to the manse, found my daughter, Angela, aka. Kirana, and Ashen Vengeance(probably). Found out about my little first age club.
- Convinced(probably) Seymore to assist me in stealing my manse. Plan: discover way to alter its course, then release Simone and Seymore with Ashen Vengeance, while I leave quietly, never to be heard from again.
- Manse computer shuts down spontaneously. Investigation reveals that a blue light has activated on the monitor of the manse's imprisoned power source. Moments later, Merlin arrives at the manse. We discuss our peaceful association. He seems very curious about the manse, and I warn him that I'm working with sidereals. He gives me a coin, which he says is a piece of his true name. I can't attune to it, so the manse can't investigate it. I hide it in a guest room under the protection of the Private Plaza.
- Instruct the manse to refrain from reading Angela's thoughts or my thoughts, and instruct the manse to refrain from reading things which Angela or I write.
- Finished learning Summon First Circle Demon. Summon and Agata demon to ferry me, Angela, or any of our choosing to or from the earth to the manse.
- Take Angela back to terra firma so that she can commune with the wood, as she does, while I go to Nexus. I visit Snake and learn that he has taken a contract to protect a person that he does not yet know is a fae. An Abyssal is also on the same contract. I resolve to assist him to find out the nature of his agreement.
- Library research on the nature of fire. Begin research on Ritual of Elemental Empowerment.
- Return to the wood and camp. Schooled by the Crysogona during summoning, and come to understand the power of even weak demons. Dream of Angeline, my demon-lover from the First Age, Angeline. Angeline is a beautiful and extremely sexual demon, who seems to have a deep connection to the forests and the hunt. She obviously wants me to Summon her and offers to help me learn Summon Demon of the Second Circle. I tell her that I will summon her in time so that she can help protect our daughter. She offers to put me in touch with Makarios, who will help in this respect. I accept. We kiss, and I depart.
- Decide to become more than a Solar. Research begins on Blood of Gaia's Children, aka Divine Association of Elemental Aspect.
- Return to Manse and Summon a Chrysogona. Return to Nexus with my bound demon. Go to the inn where Snake and the Abyssal are guarding a meeting between 2 fae. The one they are not guarding is the same fae that kidnapped my sister and I beat the crap out of, Scarlet Orchid Tears. The guarded fae, Silence of Forests, owns 2 hounds who can sense my presence, even when I am easily overlooked. The Abyssal appears to be a very nervous but enchantingly beautiful woman, claming the title Night Blade. She carries a bow made of bone and a sword of similar material. Her armor is black.
- Return to Snake with the information and decide to move against Scarlet Orchid Tears. Hire Snake's mercenaries for the potential attack.
- Later, at the tavern, Merlin approaches me and explains that Scarlet Orchid Tears is a member of the Single Lily faction of the Court of Lilies. She is attempting to trade Ashen Vengeance to the Many Lilies faction. Ashen Vengeance should be safely in the hands of the Sidereals. I agree to help Merlin to bring down Scarlet Orchid Tears and the Single Lily Faction. Learn about the nature of fae conflict in the wyld.
- Approach Seymore at the bookstore and inform him about Scarlet Orchid Tears. He decides to investigate. I set up a training meeting for Tuesday. Return to Merlin and inform him that I will be dealing with Scarlet Orchid Tears, and suggest that he be ready to make use of the shift in power. All he must do is suggest somehow to Silence of Forests that the sword his associate is offering is a fake. Return to Seymore and ask him to be at the next meeting between Scarlet Orchid Tears and Silence of Forests. He agrees.
- Dream of Makarios. He informs me that he will make an artifact to mask Angela's nature, but he'd need starmetal. He also agrees to put me through to someone who can create a spell to mask one's nature, but either way, he requires the nightmares of a fae noble. I attempt to indimidate him, meeting with little success, and leave, saying that I'll consider his deal.
- When Snake leaves for the next meeting, I bring his mercenary guards, the Chrysogona, the Agata, and Seymore. I position myself above and well away from the meeting and watch. Merlin shows up as a bird, but nothing spectacular happens. Seymore sends me a message saying that he may have learned useful information and that he may be out of touch for a while.
- Return to manse with Angela and finish learning Ritual of Elemental Empowerment.
- Learn about a great battle between Snake and Night Blade and the Immaculate Order. 4 powerful monks were destroyed, and 1 is left in a magical coma caused by Night Blade. That one is Renee. Go to Night Blade and convince her to release the curse in exchange for a promise that the immaculate will not trouble her again. But she needs to touch her to release it.
- Hire Vair to find plans for the Immaculate Temple. She does better than expected, and discoveres that the senior masters will be in a meeting at 3pm on Wednesday.
- Discover that woman to does not "smell" like a fey was near my manse, and Alabaster was shut down for 12 hours at that time.
- Call Merlin. Learn from him about Sep, the Fae that is behind the glass. He "has a lot in common with her." I explain to him that I cannot get the codes to get her out, and that I don't know if I would if I did. Merlin appeared to be more a more real and human version of himself when his glamour broke in the engineering room. Enlist Merlin's help to save Renee.
- Learn that I can force the manse to remain awake when she sleeps.
- Sneak into temple using Fae magic, overwhelming the wards. Take Renee to Nightblade, where she is cured. I owe Nightblade a small favor. Return Renee to the temple and sneak out. Tell Merlin he can call me if he needs help with Ashen Vengeance.
- Confronted by Simone, who warns that Ashen Vengeance appears to have been stolen, and Seymore has been audited by the Sidereal that seems to be working with Scarlet Orchid Tears. I tell Simone that I'll investigate to find out if there's a good way to destroy Ashen Vengeance while she investigates the Sidereal to try to find a way to audit him and save Seymore.
- Talk to Snake to learn that Nightblade says that she's on the run from her Deathlord.
- Dream of Angeline using a blood sacrifice. She takes me deep into the darkest woods to a web of birch branches and tells me that Ashen Vengeance was cooled on the heart's blood of a Fae Noble, the same Fae Noble that I had worked with in the First Age. She tells me that the Demon Blood who did so escaped with the sword.
