Helping Goddess (Occult)

Bug Hunt Mode

Clicking over to Bug Hunt mode, a celestial visor forms around the Helping Goddess' eyes. She can now see all demanifested spirits, bugs, demons, ghosts, goddesses, etc. She can also spot extra-dimensional pockets, flows of Moe, Manses, desmenes, and charm/sorcery effects. She can strike demanifested creatures, if she so desires.


Mario Jump Strike

  • Cost: 3 motes
  • Duration: Instant
  • Type: Subtle/Mental
  • Minimum Occult: 4
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Bug Hunt Mode

The Helping Goddess jumps onto a spirit being's head, causing it to send up a spray of coins from its head. On a successful attack, she can roll Strength + Occult. Each success drains her Moe worth of motes from the creature, turning them into jade coins (one per success). Each coin is enough to make a Resource 2 purchase; 5 are enough to make a Resource 3 purchase. This can be comboed with charms of other abilities and used with a non-Occult action.


Punch to Solidity

  • Cost: 5 motes, 1 WP
  • Duration: Instant
  • Type: Subtle/Mental
  • Minimum Occult: 5
  • Minimum Moe: 3
  • Prerequisite Charms: Mario Jump Strike

On a successful hit on a spirit, roll Strength + Occult vs. the target's Moe. If you succeed, the spirit must immediately materialize in addition to the normal damage you do. This may well drain all its Moe.



Heavenly Politician

  • Cost: 2 motes / +1 die
  • Duration: One Scene
  • Type: Reflexive
  • Minimum Occult: 2
  • Minimum Moe: 1
  • Prerequisite Charms: Basic Occult Protocol

The Helping Goddess exploits her own divine rank to deal with uncooperative spirits. She can buy 1 bonus die for any action dealing with spirits, bugs, elementals, goddesses, and demons for every 2 motes spent, to a limit of her Moe.


Prerogatives of Office

  • Cost: 5 motes, 1 WP
  • Duration: One Scene
  • Type: Reflexive
  • Minimum Occult: 3
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Heavenly Politician

In theory, Heaven's servants shouldn't attack each other. Activating this charm calls on that protection; any spirit which wishes to attack you must burn a willpower or beat your Manipulation + Occult with their willpower in an opposed roll. Should they attack you, they are reported to the nearest censor. Though he probably won't care unless you are high in rank.


Gate of Yu-Shan

  • Cost: 20 motes, 1 WP
  • Duration: Moe Turns
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Occult: 4
  • Minimum Moe: 3
  • Prerequisite Charms: Prerogatives of Office

This charm lets the Helping Goddess send out for an emergency pickup. It opens a gateway to Neo-Yu-Shan for Moe turns, through which she can flee back to Neo-Yu-Shan.


Rank Hath Its Privileges

  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Occult: 4
  • Minimum Moe: 3
  • Prerequisite Charms: Prerogatives of Office

You may attempt to use your rank to command a spirit, god, demon, or bug of inferior Moe. Roll Occult + Bureaucracy. If you score equal to or higher than its Moe, it must obey one order from you which will take up to your Moe in hours. This order cannot be suicidal.
