History
In the west woman are not permitted to set out upon the ocean. This leaves two paths. A life on land or a life as one of the Tya. It is fortunate that the woman who would become the Princess of the Nine Glooms was born in Wavecrest to a pair of immigrants from the east. In that land a woman holds as much as or more power than any man does. Rather than farming though her natural strength and agility lead to being a talented hunter and she worked with the military teaching archery. As she grew in experience she took up work helping to fight off any of the creatures that would come down from the wyld zones inland.
Yet it wasn't raiders or wyld monsters that lead to her death.
