Description
He stands at exactly 6 feet in height. His smooth features denote someone with a trace of possible Fair Folk ancestry somewhere in his blood but clearly it was a while ago. His hair a golden blond and kept in a long pony tail down his back. He dresses in fine black clothing that has a few patterns worked in yellow thread on it. At his hip he has a sword, carefully maintained in a proper full sheath and when travelling makes sure to wear a sturdy buff jacket to protect from elements and the blades of others. Underneath the almost robe like pants he wears he wears sandles and socks on his feet.
History</b>
On the northern shores of the Inner Sea lie the provinces of the Imperial Realm, still loyal and serving to the divine warriors across the sea. Crystal Pillar was born to a simple family within the lands. His family was not rich and had no connections with the Great Houses, nor was there any record of the Dragonblood dallying with them so his life was a rather plain one, even though he had the intellect and drive for more. It was only chance, or fate perhaps, that saw him encounter a diplomat from the Scavanger Lands who came to stay at the inn where he worked at with his family. The man saw his potential and offered to apprentice him. Finally having a chance to give their child a better life his parents accepted and soon enough he left those lands, not to return for many years.
When he did though he was greatly changed. He had been taught learning, diplomacy, and many other talents to let him be an impartial observer and mediator between the many conflicting kingdoms to the east of the norther provinces. He gave to them what money he had carefully saved up which let them start to change their own lives around into something a little better then the normal for those who had no connections politically or by blood in those lands. Then he went back east, to keep working, finding a satisfaction in his work that he hadn't had before.
To some exaltation is swift and bright like a bonfire for all to see. To others it is like the slow creep of night, suddenly upon you without you even noticing. He had been studying and researching ancient agreements and laws as on two sides of a river two different armies were waiting, standing, and he had been hired to choose whos it was. Both sides claimed it, and no matter his answer they would fight over it, and if the side he chose lost the victors would no doubt kill him. The candles had burned low, and he was running out of time when he checked some agreements that each side had made with others lands in hopes of finding something, and there he found his way out. Though both sides claimed it, they had each offered use and ownership of the river to the Seventh Legion at different times in return for its military advisors. Technically speaking it was still theres. Though he didn't have time to notify the Legion he could bluff it out, never knowing that upon that night in the library and vaults his brow had shown with the light of the sun.
He met with both sides the next day and explained it to them, even going so far as to claim to have sent word of the whole matter, that neither had ownership of the river and if they wished to fight over it they would have to take the matter up with the Legion on it. They likely had far better records then either side kept and could judge whos it was. Neither side wanted to actually anger the Legion, which wzs far too close for their liking anyways and quietly seperated, the war averted over that reason for at least another 50 years until the Legion's grant of the river ended.
Alone as he travelled it was not long after that the dreams of a past age and the realization of what he was came to him. He has quietly continued his ways though as a mediator and at times impartial investigator of crimes as he searches for clues to what he is and perhaps others.
