Relentless Storm of Tidal Waves</b>

Caste: Breaking Waves\\
Min Essence: 5\\
Prereqs: CrestOfTheBlackTsunamiAttack

The fae has mastered the chaotic sea fighting style; her movements become as fast and as hard to predict as ocean waves in a hurricane. Her form blurs and shifts into multiple copies, as if one were looking at her through a fuzzy lens. For the rest of the scene, the fae gains an “illusary attack” dice pool per turn. In addition to her regular dice action or actions each round, the fae can use this illusary attack dice pool to make her illusion copies attack foes.

The illusary attack dice pool is the fae’s normal attack dice pool and can (and should) be split into multiple actions normally, which can be interspersed with the fae’s regular actions. Illusary attacks do not do any damage; if they hit or are parried, the illusary fae passes right through the defender like a spray of invisible water, smirking and laughing, and dissipates. However, fae can use Breaking Wave charms to enhance these illusary attacks so that, if they are not parried or dodged, they still cause the effects of any of the first three charms in this tree (not Black Tsunami). This means that if a fae's illusion connects, the attack does no damage but the fae can buy bashing damage with Crashing Wave Blow, or try to get her opponent to drop her weapon with Weapon Capsizing Wave Blow. These illusions only shift into existence as the fae is attacking and then fade away as soon as the attack is over, so they can’t be used as decoys to draw attacks.

For example, Qingu spends a round activating this charm. His form blurs and shifts. The next round, he plans on making 4 real attacks and 5 illusary attacks (in () parentheses). His attack die pool is 19. He attacks Allad at 15, (14), 14, (13), (12), 13, (11), 12, (10). More than half of his attacks are made by doppleganger Qingus splitting off from the original and dissipating in a telekinetic spray after they strike. Allad parries most of the attacks but misses a normal attack and an illusary attack. Qingu spends 8 motes and uses Disorienting Spray of Seafoam on both attacks that hit. So Allad takes damage from the real attack, and gets a -2 action penalty, -1 from the real and -1 the fake attack that hit. (Qingu actually would get two full pools for both the real and the fake attacks due to his inherent, unique powers but for simplicity's sake I left that out -- this is how it would work for any regular baptized fae)
