Subtle Undercurrent exalted fae are particularly nimble and light-footed. A fae can jump in the air and, using this charm, make a second jump off an invisible foothold, as if she were swept away by a mysterious force. Mechanically speaking this charm allows fae to jump twice as high as they normally could, or even more upon multiple uses. In combat, it gives a fae a free second (or third, or fourth.... etc) dodge as long as she makes a preliminary dodge by jumping or some acrobatic maneuver. A fae can use this charm a number of times per turn equal to her permanent essence. If she is using it to dodge multiple attacks, she always lands after each initiative integer--so if she makes a mundane dodge and uses the charm to dodge two attacks by the same opponent on initiative 10, she cannot use the charm a second time to dodge an attack by an opponent on initiative 9; she would have to land first, and make a mundane dodge.

For example, Allad is attacking Qingu 5 times with Iron Whirlwind. Qingu jumps high into the air, missing the first attack by inches. Allad swings again, and Qingu is swept away from him before he hits the ground. Again, and the same thing happens, Qingu seems to kick off invisible footholds in midair, four times before landing safely, smirking. (Mechanically, Qingu dodged the first attack with a dice action, and then activated this charm four times to dodge the rest with full dice pools before landing. If someone were to attack him after Allad, he would have to spend a dice action to jump in the air first before using this charm again.)
