Aia, Catgirl Scribe
Background
Appearance
Aia appears as a normal girl in her late teens, with pale white skin, long black hair, and enough curves to merit a second glance from most males. Normal, that is, if not for the silky cat ears that sit atop her head, and a similarly fur-covered tail poking out of the back of her pants. Plus, you know, her slitted amber eyes are a dead giveaway.
She moves with an easy feline grace, sexy in a far-too-innocent way, and her bright smile comes easily, much to the consternation of those beguiled by the aforementioned grace. Her usual garb is a simple silken tunic and pants, though she has been experimenting with more elaborate attire in recents months.

Modified Charms
Hurry Home
When Aia uses this Charm she appears Sian’s immediate vicinity – although she does not simply materialise from thin air. Instead she emerges in some out-of-the-way place that allows her to appear without too many explanations.
Background Explanations
Collar of Dawn’s Cleansing Light (jade) – Artefact • (1 mote commitment)
This collar of gold and blue jade was a gift from Aia’s mother (before the falling-out that lead to her being shipped off to Osikuthe’s court), and it keeps it’s magic keeps her clean even during the most adverse of conditions, something that both mother and daughter value greatly. For the expenditure of 3 motes of Essence, it will also grant the wearer a +2 bonus to any single attempt to resist disease or poison.
Dragon Tear Tiara (orichalcum) – Artefact •• (2 mote commitment)
This light golden headband is intricately carved with a starburst motif (it was a gift from a Solar of the First Age to Aia’s mother, long centuries ago), and with a currently empty setting for a Hearthstone on the brow. When worn it grants an extra die to all Perception rolls, as well as three dice for all rolls regarding geomancy, astrology or other tasks requiring occult sensitivity.
Subtle Acicule (jade) – Artefact • (1 mote commitment)
The Subtle Acicule is generally considered a weapon of last resort, mostly because it isn’t really a weapon at all. In appearance it is little more than a long hairpin (usually 12-18” in length), forged of fine steel and with a small piece of black jade carefully carved into a cat. When used to pin its wearer’s hair up and/or back, it grants 2-die bonus to any Stealth roll for remaining undetected. Once the wearer’s presence is known, the Subtle Acicule no longer functions. As noted above, it can also be used as a weapon, although it’s profile is poor as far as artefact weaponry goes.
- <i>Subtle Acicule (Melee) – Speed 0, Accuracy +2, Damage +1L, Defence +1, Rate 5
- Subtle Acicule (Thrown) – Accuracy +2, Damage +1L, Range 15, Rate 4
Resources
The tag-along scribe of a Whitewall diplomat, Aia hasn’t really collected much in the way of money or property, nor has she had any real need to do so.
Savant
Spending as much time as she did with her mother’s councillors and sages, she couldn’t help but pick up a notable amount of fragmentary First Age lore. Although it is rarely coherent, the knowledge covers a wide range of subjects and has proven useful in the past.
