Perception Arts
Moonless Silhouette Technique
Cost: 1 blood feast per 2 dice
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Minimum Perception: 2
Minimum Essence: 1
Prerequisite Arts: None

While entrenched in shadows, the Kaishar may utilize this Art in order to seem dimmer in comparison to his surroundings, so that he may be easier lost in the darkness around him. For every point of blood feast invested in activating this Art, add two dice to any stealth attempt made while in a poorly lit environment. The bonus gleaned from this Art may not exceed the Kaishar’s total Perception Arts – leftover dice are lost.

Tireless Watcher Suffusion
Cost: 1 blood feast per die
Duration: One scene
Type: Suffusion
Minimum Perception: 1
Minimum Essence: 1
Prerequisite Arts: None

Part and parcel of being separated emotionally from one’s environment, and being subjected to a slightly darker, more corrupt variety of reality is that a Kaishar finds that sharpening his senses is a trivial and everyday act. For every point of blood feast spent activating this Art, the Kaishar gains an effective point of Perception for the scene. The Kaishar may not add more dice to Perception than he has total Perception Arts. Suffusion Arts may be used in the same turn as other Suffusion Arts. No more than the Kaishar’s permanent Essence in Suffusion Arts may be activated per turn.

Old Cat’s Eye
Cost: 3 blood feast
Duration: One scene
Type: Simple
Minimum Perception: 2
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Arts: Tireless Watcher Suffusion

The Kaishar may focus his senses to such a fine persistence that nothing short of gouging the pertaining organs out may deprive him of his five senses. He sees through darkness and blindfolds, smells through nose plugs and overpowering stenches, and hears through close walls. For one scene, the Kaishar suffers no penalty to his senses in regards to anything that does not halt the senses outright.

Unworthy Sentinel’s Curse
Cost: 3 blood feast
Duration: One hour
Type: Simple
Minimum Perception: 3
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Arts: Old Cat’s Eye, Moonless Silhouette Technique

The Kaishar lays his hands on a mortal’s head, and holds them tightly there as he focuses his blood Essence into his palms. If the mortal is not surprised, or is unwilling, this requires a successful Dexterity + Brawl roll. Seeping into the mortal’s mind and body, the blood Essence darkens with the power of Oblivion and settles there like cloudy sediment. For the next hour, this Art entirely deprives the mortal of his senses, instead making it seem as if he floats adrift in a vast, black, senseless nothing. This Art is ineffectual on beings with a permanent Essence higher than one, unless the Kaishar allows his shadow Seed to aid him by accepting a point of Consumption in the effort.
