As she is still just a child, there is only so much that can be thrown at her before she either breaks or, in this case, locks all her emotions inside. This can be hardships, severe stress, hunger (from choosing her targets too carefully), or anything similar.

As with Heart of Flint, she lacks all empathy and feeling with her actions, robbing people indiscriminately. Without her usual spark of emotion, she may even kill someone who proves too reluctant to give up their goods.

Consisting of a pair of bracers attached to lightweight fignerless guantlets of open, uncovered palms, these items do not interfere with manual dexterity and can even be worn while picking locks or other feats of dexterity. On command, each gauntlet can extend a trio of razor sharp claws. These claws are deadly weapons in melee, but each set can also be fired as a projectile attached to a fine but nearly unbreakable chain. The chains can fire up to 15 yards.

Either hook can be retracted by a single thought, instantly and with such force that, if the hook is embedded high enough, the wearer can be pulled to where they are attached. Retracting the hooks is reflexive.

This particular set seems to be custom-made for Kei, made to fit her small size which is likely not to increase by much even when she matures. They even have her name emblazoned on the wrists. A setting for a single Hearthstone resides on the back of the left gauntlet.

These guantlets can only be used in pairs, and require 3 essence to be committed to each of them.

Throwing Knives (kunai) - Specially crafted throwing knives. They are simply normal length, balanced pieces of metal with cloth wrapped around the unsharpened 'hilt'. The 'safe' end of the hilt has a circular piece of metal for quick drawing, fancy spinning and tossing with a single finger.
