Pel Yusuf
Pel does not know what he is. Pel could not know. Pel could not know because he is the single surviving member of a village now forgotten to the memory of both man and Creation; swept under the rug of the creeping Wyld.
Pel does not know who sired him; he knows only that when the Wyld Hunt came to defend the sleepy town of ---, they found he and he alone, resting inside the slit-wide-open womb of a what was once a woman, whose dead hands clutched a simple cross cold iron across her stomach, holding her baby safe under it's aegis (little did they know that she'd been trying to kill the little wyld-spawn within her.)
Pel does not know why he hates himself so, every time he looks into the mirror and sees those elegant sweeping features, so painfully beautiful to look upon that most hate him before they could know him, hate him for being such an avatar of grace and hungry want that the rest of the world looks like the delapidated remnants of what was *once* so beautiful as to be known as 'ugly', by comparison.
Pel knows that he hates the Fae that stole his life from him before he ever had the chance to have one; Pel knows from experience that when he is hired to craft the wyld-barring wards for a village, to leave the last piece off for a local villager to complete. Knows that if he makes the wards too complete, he himself will be driven out of the town.
Some part of Pel suspects. When that part awakens, it is questionable how much of Pel will remain.
