Story
- When the Deathlords tainted the shards of Ignis Divine, they knew they only had a finite number of Death Knights at their disposal. And while this might have been enough at that time, what if they needed more warriors? An army worthy of withstanding the exalted of creation, but all dedicated to the cause of Oblivion? The Deathlords and the Malfean masters could not think of an idea... that is, until the Locust Crusades.
- It was during the Crusades that a Death Knight happened to be in the area, and said Shadow of the Abyss was intrigued by the Locusts that attacked. He kidnapped one and took the Locust to his Death Lord master, who showed his fellows. They threatened, interrogated, and tortured their prey, but could not find the secrets they were looking for. However, the Alchemical, in a fit of desperation, said to check his mind- the plans to his exaltation were likely hidden there. And so they found them, and so they began to try and modify the plans that had been given to them.
- Here, the story branches out.
