Expanded Backgrounds
Contacts 3: Bec is likely to know at least a few people in multiple circles in every major city throughout Kolan. He generally will know the nouveau elite, young kings and princes, as well as a few of the funnier older nobility who like to spin stories and tell jokes. Further, he's well versed in the underworld, and can often spot a fence or pusher when the situation arises. He has three major contacts: Locks, the elderly semi-retired regional leader for a Haslanti syndicate. Ios, a young and fairly important noble in Aquila, a licentious rake who's quick with a blade. Lightless, a young shadowlands-born boy living in Shroud Hill who knows of safe and secret ways in and out of Ellakhan.
Artifact 5: Bec's panoply includes two large oricalchum-alloyed boomerangs, the North and South Winds, known as the Frigid and the Savage. He also possesses hearthstone bracers that improve his mobility and a hearthstone set within. He has access to a suit of Ashigaru powered armor with active camouflage, but he generally will leave it behind because it hampers his mobility. In preparation for the war, Bec has assembled a large amount of ninja-style gear, including climbing claws, hang-glider kites, and smoke bombs. Any of this that he can get as a magical item he has.
Resources 4: As much as he hates to admit it, Bec is the rightful king of Clearspring, and can put his hands of 4 dots worth of material or money as needed, though he generally leaves the ruling to his advisors and stays away from his home. He also possesses landholdings and title in Serrania, and is the benefactor behind a large sailing ship operating on Serranian waters. While he doesn't make the knowledge public, Bec maintains a safehouse in almost every town they've visited, and often prefers to stay alone in his apartments than stay in the inns.
Manse 3: Blackfen Anchor is a wood manse located in a coniferous and cypress swamped region southeast of Clearspring. It possesses alarming and terrifying animal defenses, but the manse itself is an enormous and ancient mangrove tree inhabited by a small god, singleminded and fat with age and worship, titled the Black Bog Anchorite. Bec is currently the only exalt attuned here, but the others are welcome if they ever wish to.
Allies 2: In addition to his solar friends, Bec has made a few allies in his travels around Kolan, the most notably being Caelieagh, a heroic mortal and fairly hard-charging woman that he once gave a gift to, the largest single ship in Serranian waters. She now operates that ship in whatever capacity she sees fit, but will generally provide aid to Bec if requested.
Mentor 2: While he's certainly powerful enough to warrant a higher rating, the ancient sidereal Galian is so involved at every level of the war plans and the steering of creation that he spends very little time with his ebon shadow student. Additionally, while he's generally willing to train the young Solar, Galian is only barely able to tolerate him, and so he's generally not a big help outside of the dojo.
