Blasphemous Golden Monkey
The being known as the Blasphemous Golden Monkey is not even thought of as one of the Anathema by the Wyld Hunt, among whom his nickname is spoken with fear and awe. His true name is not known, adding to the belief that this man is truly a demon, perhaps the most powerful one to walk Creation freely. Entire towns have been leveled when battle was joined between him and the Hunters, and tales have reached the Realm of still more devastation. This walking Blasphemy is said to have wiped out barbarian tribes, entire swaths of Wyldlands, and anything else that opposed him. Supposedly, he has a fortress at the elemental pole of Wood, built right into the impenatrable forest.
Those in the Cult of the Illuminated know the Monkey as a wandering protector of their ways. Yet even they do not know the true location of his secret fortress, though they are convinced it is real. His appearance is known more rightly to them: a man in a red cloak over moonsilver plate, bare hands glinting with orichalcum articulation sewn into his very flesh. He has long black hair, and an eyepatch, though it is whispered that this conceals not the lack of an eye, but some strange sorcery. Sometimes the patch glows red from beneath, and usually there is an explosion shortly thereafter. The Cult knows him as one of their own, too, for the golden sash he wears over his right shoulder, crossing his chest to his left hip. On it is quoted a verse from their scriptures, promising in Old Realm protection to the people of the Sun.
The Cult's masters in the Gold Faction know the Monkey's name is Jinkai, and that his fortress was carved from the stuff of the Wyld itself with Wyld-Shaping Prana, lying quite close indeed to the legendary location the Wyld Hunt attributes to it. His closest advisors have witnessed the strange alchemy to which Jinkai submits himself in this fortress, and have come to understand the great power he has gained by it. Jinkai sees himself as protector and judge. He has mastered the Celestial Monkey Style and the Righteous Devil Style, and through the artifice of his fortress transcended the need for a firewand. Even his Sidereal advisors do not all know where he found this technology. Those who do say only that it came from beyond Creation. Most assume it is some mad dream from the Wyld, but the very knowledgable know they are wrong.
Crunch.
To be revealed at the end of the tournament.
