Friv - I thought the reduced hearthstone drawback would actually give you X points back for dropping the level of a hearthstone from X level. Thus, a 5-point manse making a 4-point hearthstone gave you 5 extra points. Dropping that 4 point stone to 3 then gave you another 4 points, for a total of 9 extra creation points. I could be wrong, or mis-interpreting, but you may have a ton more points around... -- [[GreenLantern]]

The Void Prism

During the First Age, the Dark Moon Fellowship began their experiments on the nature of the Void. One of them, a Lunar sorcerer whose name is now lost to time, built this Manse as part of the second stage of their experiments, in preparation for their journey into the Labyrinth. Creating the Manse took extensive effort, and attempts at dark rites that have long since vanished. The result was a massive Manse, the first Abyssal one in all of Creation.

The Void Prism was not popular in the First Age after the Labyrinth awoke. The sorcerer who crafted it left a much weaker hearthstone than others might be, using much of its powers to extend its capabilities into the heart of the Labyrinth. As a result, the locals quickly left, and the sorcerer used other magics to obscure the Prism’s location, just in case minions of the Neverborn tried to widen the gateway that he had created. When the Usurpation came, the Lunar fled into the Wyld, and left the Prism behind. He died a few centuries later, and the secret of the Prism was lost.

The Void Prism is a towering edifice, tucked into a dark mountain range. The trees for miles around are stunted and scraggly, and few animals nest in the grounds. The Prism is close to five stories tall, an obelisk of dark stone with hints of soulsteel, and few windows. Light that touches it fragments into shades of shadow, casting the interior of the Manse into perpetual gloom that swallows any light sources. A chill hangs around the building, convincing most would-be residents to leave promptly.

Drawbacks: Reduced Hearthstone (-2), Habitability (-1). 13 Manse Points.

Powers:

Passwords (1 pt): All the powers of the Void Prism can be shut off or on by announcing certain phrases and intonations that cause the walls to shift in subtle ways, changing the manse’s powers.

Otherworld Gate (4 pts): The centre of the Prism’s bottom floor holds a massive black mirror, which covers the entire floor of the manse. Upon speaking the words of the Dark Moon covenant, the mirror starts to glimmer as dark light spreads across the floor. The character sinks into the floor as though into quicksand, coming out from a similar floor in the middle of the Labyrinth. Speaking the password on the Labyrinth side accomplishes the same effect back into the Manse.

Adamant Circle Feedback (5 pts): The dark powers flowing through the Manse shatter the powers of Creation, drawing the shapings of the Primordials inevitably towards the Void. The proper passwords anywhere in the manse can remove this effect, or restore it.

Ebon Dragnet (3 pts): The dark geomancy of the Manse aided the Dark Moon’s experiments by forcing anyone they killed within the Manse to become a ghost. Once this occurred, the fellowship’s own skills kept them present.

The Prism’s hearthstone is a Death-Sense Stone (Oedanol’s Codex, Pg. 102).
