Dan of High Bay Key was, growing up, a relatively normal, if slightly privleged kid. While not actually located in any major area (His home was a smallish island off the coast of the nearer Threshhold kingdoms. Known, but not actually seen as containing anything other than a fishing village and maybe an oddly elevated island), the island did have one important resident: Dan's father, Go of High Bay Key. An Outcaste from a minor house, Go fled to High Key Bay after politics more or less caused the death of his wife. There, he raised his son, taught him a bit of the martial arts he knew, and calmly went about his life. A-course, that changed, when the politics finally caught up with him. One evening, a massive Dragon-Blooded and his men stormed the island, killing off the villagers who lived there. Go died in front of Dan, although the boy was hidden by a combination of luck and fate. After his father's killer left, young Dan crawled out of hiding, watching in disbelief. Swearing righteous vengeance upon his father's killer, Dan underwent Exaltation, being chosen, for whatever reason, by the spirit of an ancient warrior.

...Unfortunately, Dan High Bay Key was one of those who's Exaltation left them a bit...rattled. While not actually insane, the combination of old memories that don't make sense and the shock of his father's death have resulted in a rather odd personality. Dan is a surprisingly brutal fighter, as most of his opponents tend to dismiss him as being an incompetent goofball, and is also incredibly annoying to fight at the same time. Guided by confused visions and the spirit of his slain father, Dan has aquired some of his former life's legacy. He currently wanders the Threshold kingdoms, training himself with the massive Dragon-Blooded who slew his father.
