I Am
I am the blistering heat of noonday, the searing might of the bonfire, the thrill of the hunt, the snarl of an empty stomach. I am flame, I am hunger, I am violence made perfect.
Give me your fear. Give me your heart. Give me your life's blood.
Give me these things, and I will swallow them down into me, to join all the other things I have eaten.
Then, maybe, I will be made whole.
