The oldest of the societies, Raksi has been slowly growing her own private Empire since the Contagion. The forces under her control really are armies of Apemen and other Beastmen, numbering in the tens of thousands, spread across the jungles to the southeast. Her goals are alien, for she rarely moves against civilization. A rare few scholars speculate at the reasons why the East has held up so well against the Wyld, and that she might be the reason. This is certainly not far from the truth - she has organized her tribes such that they perform patterned patrols in their migrations, and, combined with the raw population of the East, has enabled the region to remain stable. | The oldest of the societies, Raksi has been slowly growing her own private Empire since the Contagion. The Lord of the Nameless City, while younger than Raksi or Leviathan, espouses a more popular viepoint - the inherent corruption of civilization, particularly that of the Realm. He has always been gathering and breeding his forces, always tested them against the Realm, but now, with the Empress' dissapearance, he seeks to gather a force to wipe the Realm's influence from his jungles to the coast of the Inner Sea, including the destruction of both Harborhead and anything that would bar him from razing Greyfalls. | The Lord of the Nameless City, while younger than Raksi or Leviathan, espouses a more popular viepoint - the inherent corruption of civilization, particularly that of the Realm. The return of the Solars has raised much interest amongst the Lunars, though only Lilith, so far, has begun actively recruiting forces for the cause of the Solar's return. To say she is leary of the Cult of the Illuminated is an understatement at best, though she recognizes the value of a temporary ally. She has only begun her recruitment, and no doubt will become a force to be reckoned with in short order. | The return of the Solars has raised much interest amongst the Lunars, though only Lilith, so far, has begun actively recruiting forces for the cause of the Solar's return. Lunar Society
- /Lunars - Back to Lunars
There are two main aspects of Lunar Society. The first is the Silver Pact, applying to Lunars as a whole, and the second are individual Lunar groups - typically led by powerful Lunars.
The Silver Pact
Created in response to the Usurpation, the Silver Pact has one, and only one, ultimate purpose: To prevent any more Lunars from falling to the Wyld and becoming Chimerae. The only rule of conduct is to make sure that any Lunar without tattoos gets them, or dies. There are no exceptions.
This -is- the only rule. Lunars come from too many different walks of life, to say nothing of their Totems, to universally agree to anything else. A few things are, however, common:
- Should a Chimerae be sighted in the Deep Wyld or closer to Creation, hunting parties typically form. Their prey often eludes them and flees into the safety of Pure Chaos, but every victory gives Creation a powerful ally.
- Shared knowledge of patterns and Wyld-supressing rituals is common.
- Battling the Wyld is a frequent practice, the Lunars are the only remaining group that makes active -attacks-
Lunar Packs
Lunars are not great in number. Depending on who may be counting, the Fivescore Fellowship is more numerous. Like the Sidereals, however, there are great and small among them, and the small follow the great. The Lunar members of such packs are usually the leaders amongst a much larger whole, representing gatherings of armies were they to act.
Several such packs have, due to necessity, only truly begun recruiting since the disappearance of the Empress. The Wyld Hunt put a good deal of force behind Lunars that came too close to the Realm.
The Thousand Fangs
- Leader: Raksi, Queen of Fangs
- Notable Lunars: Kambaka
- Total Lunar Members: 5
= Mountain Uprooting Brotherhood
- Leader: Ma-Ha Suchi
- Notable Lunars: Unkown
- Total Lunar Members: 6
The Lord of the Nameless City, while younger than Raksi or Leviathan, espouses a more popular viepoint - the inherent corruption of civilization, particularly that of the Realm. He has always been gathering and breeding his forces, always tested them against the Realm, but now, with the Empress' dissapearance, he seeks to gather a force to wipe the Realm's influence from his jungles to the coast of the Inner Sea, including the destruction of both Harborhead and anything that would bar him from razing Greyfalls.
Sisters of Sun and Moon
- Leader: Lilith
- Notable Lunars: Unkown
- Total Lunar Members: 3
The return of the Solars has raised much interest amongst the Lunars, though only Lilith, so far, has begun actively recruiting forces for the cause of the Solar's return. To say she is leary of the Cult of the Illuminated is an understatement at best, though she recognizes the value of a temporary ally. She has only begun her recruitment, and no doubt will become a force to be reckoned with in short order.
The Council of Luthe
- Leader: Leviathan
- Notable Lunars: Unkown
- Total Lunar Members: 7
Leviathan has called his council. No reason was given, but his words were heard, and many follow him merely for the fact that he spoke for once in the past twelve centuries.
Bloodied Tusks
- Leader: Uka the Boar
- Notable Lunars: Unkown
- Total Lunar Members: 4
Some Lunars merely enjoy their position in existance, and it would be difficult to argue that Uka does anything more. He tolerates his Lunar companions out of respect, but he always demands first pick of 'goods' from every village he raids.
