I Am
I am the first breath taken, the last breath exhaled, the words in countless books, the understanding that transcends tutelage. I am the flowing blood, the life-giving breath, the lightning within your mind.
Give me your health. Give me your understanding. Give me your life's meaning.
Give me these things, and I will fertilize the ground around me with them, to join all the other things I have used to further my own growth.
Then, maybe, I will be made whole.
