Lina Grannis was born in the slums of Nexus. She was bright and dextrous at a child and loved working with little things. Gears for machines. She loved machines. They were so clean. They did their job if they could and didn't if they weren't working right. Unlike people. People are complicated. She was near twenty when she realized none of the machines she had worked on had needed any repair work since she fixed them. It was with that realization she felt her exaltation upon her. Her nature had quietly held off the touch of endings. They broke now like they were meant to and one of the Bronze came and took her.
Though she always held her love for machines she was of the Endings aspect. Her job was to make sure things ended in their proper time. To that end she served the Bronze Faction as an assassin. Her powerful martial arts and natural skills could almost always ensure the death of her target which often seemed to be Dynasts with troublesome destinies for the Realm. Yet her training with her sifu had made her most critical of the Bronze Faction and when the Solar's escaped and the Gold resurged she and her sifu went over to their side. Now she serves as an assassin for them. Yet in her heart she believes that what is necessary to ensure that Creation does not end now is to get the right Solar into the Imperial Manse to harness the power of that ancient machine. She of course does not speak of this desire and moves quietly to ensure no one knows her plan. The advantage is that that machine is warded in many ways from the Loom as it was designed to be proof against many dangers of from within and outside fate so her plan for it is likewise somewhat hidden. If she finds the right Solar she would abandon and betray all the Fivescore Fellowship to help him or her into the Manse.
