Skirmish Pike
The skirmish pike first appeared in the 1E book 'Fair Folk', this is my attempt to convert it to 2E.

The standard artifact 1 version has only the above stats. Artifact 2 has one additional feature built in. Artifact 3 gain all additional features.
Additional Features:
- Stun Point: Upon striking an enemy, the bearer can spend 2 motes to discharge a jolt of electricity from the tip. This doubles the raw damage and converts it all to bashing, losing the piercing bonus. Additionally, a victim who suffers actual damage from the attack is stunned, unless the succeed at a Stamina+Resistance roll at difficulty 3.
- Shock Pulse: As an alternative to thrusting, the bearer can spend 1 mote to fire a bolt of essence from the tip. The player rolls to attack as normal, but the pulse has accuracy +0, rate 1, a range of 30 yards, and base damage of 4L. These bolts of force inflict piercing damage.
- Essence Capacitor: The spear has a dimly glowing gem set in its haft, storing 20 motes that can only be used to power the other features of the weapon. The only way to recharge the crystal is for a being with an essence pool to touch the jewel and spend 2 motes per mote restored. Recharging is a simple action. Additionally anyone carrying a skirmish pike in extended mode with an essence capacitor can spend 1 mote to make the crystal spike glow as brightly as a torch for one scene.
Comments or suggestions
Looks like a reasonable conversion. This is where someone (usually Telgar) asks you to follow BestPractices and read HowDoIDoThat to choose better names for pages. A more friendly-to-this-particular-wiki name for the page would be something like Dark-Sidhe/SkirmishPike. - Wordman
- Ok, fix'd. Thanks for the pointers ^^ - Dark-Sidhe
