Shattered Whispers of Unborn Souls is an incredibly powerful relic of the primordial war, a grand daiklave that is more devastating, faster swinging, more powerful in general than any other of its type. It does, however, have one incredibly crippling drawback. Once per day, if they see the light of the light of the noon-time sun, attuned characters must make a reflexive roll of their essence in dice; if they succeed, nothing happens. If they fail, they will feel incredibly angry at the sight of the sun, for whatever reason they sieze on. If they botch, they will be inflicted with Apelpisia, a third circle disease caused by exposure to the Neverborn. They are not aware that they have made this roll, and no charm may benefit it. | Shattered Whispers of Unborn Souls is an incredibly powerful relic of the primordial war, a grand daiklave that is more devastating, faster swinging, more powerful in general than any other of its type. There was a weapon, once, and it killed a primordial. That primordial, well, it wasn't happy, but there wasn't much it could do about it. The thing was, that when a primordial isn't happy, other things aren't happy either. So this sword, it used to be a grand daiklave called The Devastation to Bring Peace, and it was all about flaring solar light and glory and such. But when it got pulled out of that primordial, well, it just wasn't the same any more. And that's what we've got here.
The weapon appears as a grand daiklave of adamant, with cutting edges of orichalcum. Running through the length of the blade is a hollow chamber filled with black fire. It casts a bright light, despite its darkness, and serves as a light source bright enough to read by. If the curse on the weapon is ever lifted, it will become the Devastation to Bring Peace again, but if an abyssal were to obtain it and change the nectrotic curse's behavior through powerful occult rituals, then it will become Last Words of the Greatest Soul, an artifact of extreme power and evil.
The weapon does not include its magical material bonuses for orichalcum.
