Recalibrative Martial Arts
Origins
After their incursion upon the Blessed Isle, the Sovans were quick to capture and study those Dynasts who surrendered themselves into Autocthonian hands. As teratogeneticists further explored the nature of the strange elements of Creation and how they could be harmonised with Autocthon's own, so eventually were techniques developed to alter these shards of divinity. A facet of Gaia's own strength, Dragon-Blooded Essence would not combine with Autocthonian spirits so willingly - although they could, they discovered, be coaxed to change. The Orichalchum-Caste researcher Dazzlingly Luminescent Provericate formalised the techniques necessary into a series of katas, exercises and structured periods of meditation, perfecting the concept and tailoring it to each of the five Aspects. Two years later, the Five Recalibrative Dragon Styles were born.
Effects
The five Recalibrative styles are founded on the precepts of the Immaculate styles, and follow their principles closely. Each is considered in-Aspect for a different element, bears form weapons that give a special benefit, and adds an elemental surcharge to all Charm costs if a Dragon-Blooded attempts to learn one outside their own elemental association, until its completion. The specific details of these are listed on the page for each different style.
Completion of a Recalibrative style makes a Dragon-Blooded a native magical inhabitant of Reality; they regain essence and willpower from stunts normally. Furthermore, it allows a Dragon-Blooded to install specific Alchemical Charms at twice normal cost; further details of this are again stated on the style's own page.
