The Solars have the ability to project their Essence outwards as an intangible cloud that strikes the terrifying knowledge of the Solar's utter superiority into the souls of all within its range. Mechanically, this charm allows the Solar to impose a penalty to all actions on all beings within (Essencex100) yards whose permanent Essence is less than the Solar's equal to the difference between their respective Essence scores. All non-extras may make a Valor check to ignore this penalty. On a failure, the penalty is increased by 1, and on a botch, it is doubled.

The wrath of the Lawgivers is ever the more potent when focused on a single target. This charm allows the caster to engage a single target in a contested Willpower roll. If the Solar's Essence is greater than the target's, her opponent suffers a penalty equal to the difference. If the target's Essence is greater than the Solar's the Solar suffers a penalty equal to the difference. If the Solar is victorious, the target must obey any orders given by the Solar that are not counter to their Motivation. By spending one point of temporary Willpower, they may defy an order to betray an Intimacy as well. If the enemy is victorious, the Solar suffers a penalty equal to her opponent's Willpower to all actions except flee.
