Character for StalkerofShadows
Name: Nefvarin Summer Breeze
Caste: Zenith
Nature: Visionary
Anima barrier:
Summer Breeze’s anima barrier is a beautiful four-winged female angel formed of golden light that hovers slightly above and behind her. As more essence is used, the angel grows larger and glows brighter. Effects such as Zenith fire bolts appear to fly from the hands of the angel. The angel appears about 8 feet tall when the anima barrier is first reached, but may reach the size of a warstrider in intense combat or during a limit break. If the anima barrier appears when Summer Breeze is under a limit break, it appears in a terrible wrath instead of beauteous and awe-inspiring. The light of the Unconquered Sun burns from her eyes as her hands form long claws to rend apart her opponents.

copy of Immaculate Texts (useful for framing groundwork for a religion!)
copy of General Nefvarin's letter to the Scarlet Empress. Summer Breeze often reads this to realize there can be triumph even against overwhelming odds.
appearance:
recent events in her life have taught her to try and keep a lower profile, usually heavily cloaked with only the bulge of her daiklave indicating anything special about her. When she removes her cloak, it is immediately apparent that she is more than mortal. She straightens to her full height of almost 6 and half feet tall. She wears a military uniform of unknown origin and a golden breastplate embossed with a dove flying outwards. For those that can tear their eyes from her beautiful figure, they will immediately notice her long, dark hair flying about her face. Her face speaks of a heritage of nobility. Her eyes seem to speak of both grim determination and witness to things that mortals cannot comprehend. They flicker through all the hues of the sunrise as one stares into them. Her skin is pale as the first rays of dawn and are in stark contrast to her dark tresses and colorful eyes.

I know you hate long histories, but this is what I had.
Nefvarin Summer Breeze and her twin sister Danae were born in the city of Lookshy approximately 20 years before the destruction of Thorns. The Nefvarin family is a small noble air-aspect Dragon-Blooded family known for their daimyo ancestor and command of the Sky Legion. Both of her parents are mortal, but she has numerous aunts, uncles and cousins that have exalted. Although neither exalted as a Dragon-Blooded, both Summer Breeze and Danae were inducted into the sohei sorcerer-exorcist society. Both were widely regarded in Lookshy as the best singers in the city, exalted or not. This only came to the attention of the sorcerers when a spirit dignitary from Great Forks happened upon a performance of theirs during a festival. He was so moved by their performance that he smoothed over a potentially damaging incident between the cities that could have resulted in the waste of military resources better used elsewhere. Approximately 2 years after joining the military, the city of Thorns was conquered by the Mask of Winters and his forces pushed north, clashing with those of Lookshy. Just prior to one of the major battles, the Nefvarin’s dragon of the Sky Legion was dispatched to a small, yet strategically located town to the east of the front. Communication had been lost with the village, possibly due to a little god or opportunistic barbarians. After landing, the troops were surprised to discover the disturbance was due to the presence of a Blasphemous anathema. Although she did not fight back, the anathema was quickly cut down by the Lookshy troops. The horrible death of the solar made Summer Breeze question the necessity of the killing, especially as she was ordered to gather the artifacts on its savaged corpse for inspection by the exalted sorcerers. Summer Breeze’s dragon encamped for the night outside of the town. As twilight descended the next evening, an unnatural silence filled the air. Perimeter guards began missing their check-ins until all were missing. Out of the diminishing light an army of the dead appeared, destroying all in their path. Unprepared to fight such a large force, the Lookshy forces fled to their skyship to save it from destruction. Both Summer Breeze and Danae were separated from the other troops and each other as the dead advanced. As she frantically searched for a weapon that would be effective against ghosts, her eyes fell upon the orichalum equipment of the solar. As she tried to lift the massive golden daiklave, a voice filled her head. “The peoples of Creation have fallen to fighting amongst themselves for the scraps of past glory. While they are distracted, those who would destroy all of Creation forever march against it. Gather those who would fight against this darkness in the name of the Unconquered Sun. Summer Breeze, you are Exalted.” As she grasped the daiklave, her anima burst into light and the walking dead surrounding her fled in terror. Hearing the scream of her twin sister, she turned to see Danae in the grip of a tall, pale figure clad in black steel. Although Summer Breeze tried to fight her way across the field, she was no match for the war ghosts and was forced to flee across the river. In the year since that terrible day, Summer Breeze has traveled throughout the Scavanger lands and southeast. After locating the manse for her hearthstone in the southeast, she has searched for allies to fight the armies of the dead. On several occasions, in the depth of the night she has encountered her sister, who has been spying upon her. Now the moonshadow deathknight Lily of Remorseful Suffering, has tried to convince Summer Breeze to join the Mask of Winters, and kept a close eye on her to prevent the formation of any army against him. However, both sisters still care deeply for each other and their confrontations have never escalated past harshly spoken words.
