Solar Stealth Charms
Heard And Unseen Approach
Cost: 6 motes Type: Reflexive Duration: One Scene Min. Stealth: 4 Min. Essence: 2 Prereqs: Easily Overlooked Presence
The character blends into the area she is hidden in, spreading out her Essence into the surrounding region. Rolls to detect the Exalt's presence are made as normal; however, if a roll to detect the Exalt succeeds, immediately apply a difficulty penalty equal to the Charm user's Essence to the remaining successes. If this causes the roll to fail, the observer cannot pinpoint the character's location, knowing only that someone is nearby. Furthermore, any difficulty penalties due to causing noise (extending to speech) apply only to rolls to be completely hidden, and are removed when applying the extra penalty. (For example, if Ahco is wearing bells, applying a +2 difficulty to Stealth rolls, and he succeeds on his roll, he gains back the two successes if people hear him and wish to pinpoint his location).
Present and Vanished Method
Cost: 5 motes Type: Reflexive Duration: Special Min. Stealth: 5 Min. Essence: 3 Prereqs: Mental Invisibility Technique
The character uses the power of her Essence to cloak herself, appearing and vanishing without warning. The character can only activate this Charm while hidden or sneaking; she may immediately reveal herself without any observers being able to tell where she came from. If the character makes a surprise attack, resolve it normally, but afterwards no one will be able to discover where the character was before she attacked, spoke, or otherwise drew attention to herself. When the Charm is released, the character can immediately return to hiding with no chance of being seen doing so; once in hiding, her Stealth rolls are opposed normally, but she has a free turn to absent herself. The character cannot release this Charm and then immediately draw attention to herself in any way, including attacking; doing so cancels the Charm instantly.
