− | An older man, in his early 40s, he has sad eyes, and much grey in his short black hair. He often has a scruffy salt-and-pepper beard, although he shaves for formal unit presentations. He is tall, lean, and spry.

− | He was a relatively well off man, the town apothecary, with a wife and a young daughter. They died of a wasting sickness that he couldn’t cure. He left the town, wandering, empty of motivation. As he was passing through Icehome, he was conscripted into the Once Dead due to pressing need. Eventually, he came to care for his comrades, not individually, but as a group. He flies their flag from his staff, and tries to keep them all alive as best he can. He often leads them in their dreamtellings, due to his natural talent as a storyteller.
