Design Elements
- Linked elements: All major elements in the campaign should be linked together. Thus the actions of the players \
will affect other areas of the story
- Repeated Appearence: Elements should appear multiple times in the cronicle. The meeting with a strange old man becomes a major plot line later in the campaign. A landmark that is merly described in one adventure is central to another. Major NPCs are visible throughout the story.
- Evolving elements: As the campaign moves forward, so do the NPCs and other elements. Players will meet NPCs at different times. What might be a minor celestial servant at first might turn into a major figure in the progress of the cronicle.
Influences
- Babylon 5: This series with it's 5 year story arc that links distant elements together, so that you can only \
fully appreciate the show after seeing it all was my strongest influence for this campaign. TidesOfTime also features a conflict \ between two giant forces, the battleground being layed down by political backstabbing and personal agendas. \ The Main antagonist shows many resemblences of Londo Molari.
- The Enemy Within: A classical Warhammer Fantasy campaign, that evolves around the political manouvering behind the throne \
of the empire.
- Die Dämonenschmiede: This book describes the fight of a small group against the invading hordes of another sphere. \
It will be used for the latter part of the campaign, where the conflict is in the open.
