Radiant Home Defender
Cost: 5m, 1wp; Mins: Integrity 5, Essence 3; Type: Simple
Keywords: Combo-Basic, Obvious
Duration: One Scene
Prerequisite Charms: Righteous Lion Defense

The one true home of a Solar is Creation, but ultimately, where her heart lies is the true home which she must defend at all cost. Whenever this Charm is activated and the Solar is acting in defense or support of an ideal magically fortified by Righteous Lion Defense, add the Solar’s Integrity in dice to all actions. These dice always count against the maximum a Solar may add via Charms.

As an example: A Solar with the Righteous Lion Defense intimacy to the ideal of ending slavery is attacked by a Guild assassin seeking to extinguish a leading Drum fighting for emancipation in Harborhead. The assassin’s blade is poisoned. The Solar activates Radiant Home Defender on her turn. The assassin attacks her, but she and gains 5 dice to add to her Dexterity + Martial Arts pool of 10, for a total of 15, raising her DV from 5 to 8. If he succeeds in piercing her flesh to deliver the poison and her Stamina + Resistance pool is only 4 dice, she may only gain 4 dice from Radiant Home Defender or any other source, though this is probably more than sufficient to defend against any mortal poison.

Realized Dream Regeneration
Cost: --; Mins: Integrity 5, Essence 4; Type: Permanent
Keywords: None
Prerequisite Charms: Elusive Dream Defense

A Solar who learns embody an idealized dream, becoming untouchable by the attempts of others to grasp it, may in time come to realize the strength of dedication to such ideals and dreams. Whenever the character makes a significant act that is beneficial to the nature of an intimacy magically reinforced by Elusive Dream Defense, she regenerates motes equal to her integrity. For example, if Fire Orchid magically reinforces a positive intimacy to "Leading with Wisdom," and successfully convinces a questioning Dragon-blooded that defeating a loosed Second Circle Demon is more important than fighting her, she would regenerate motes. On the other hand, if Panther had a magically reinforced intimacy to "Destroying Abyssals", he would regenerate motes upon striking a major, damaging hit-- Storyteller's option, but at least one third of health levels (rounding up) would be a good guideline-- or slaying an Abyssal, not for merely attacking a deathknight.

Scorching Heat of the Lawgiver-Hierophant
Cost: --; Mins: Integrity 6, Essence 6; Type: Permanent
Keywords: None
Prerequisite Charms: Sun King Radiance

A Lawgiver gives herself utterly to the causes she has chosen and that which she dedicates herself to. Those who are loyal to a Lawgiver must understand that to betray something which is important to a Solar is to betray that Solar herself. This Charm modifies its prerequisite. If a character loyal to the Solar actively attempts to betray or work against one of the Solar's intimacies, even if not directly related to the Solar herself, the -2 internal penalty applies.

Unlimited Dedication
Cost: --; Mins: Integrity 5, Essence 4; Type: Permanent
Keywords: None
Prerequisite Charms: Unhesitating Dedication

The boundless heart of a Solar can be set on many paths, and see them all through the end. To the truly excellent and superb mind, a thousand philosophies, a thousand loves, a thousand hates, all may be truly embraced. This Charm enhances its prerequisite. The character may now have a maximum of Essence + Conviction Intimacies serve as Motivations.

However, for the Solar dedicant, there is a note of caution: Sadly, cunning foes wrought plans against those thousands of disparate ultimate drives, tangling them in the web of fate. Many Solars who drew strength from diverse sources found themselves paralyzed by contradictions during the Great Usurpation-- and fell, unable to discern what was their true core and what was merely magical inspiration.
