Assumption Charms

Heavenly Influence

The human concept of godliness has a great amount of appeal to many raksha. Being as self-centered as they are, they enjoy the idea of mortal men and women prostrating themselves before a graven idol or giving up their life's blood for the touch of deity. What appeals even more is the fact that utilizing these charms is tantamount to stealing away the gods' mantle, taking their power, and sneaking into their realms, disguised as one of their own.

Assumption of Ecstasy and Divinity

Cost: 10 motes, 1 gossamer
Duration: One Story
Type: Reflexive
Minimum Essence: 1
Prerequisite Charms: None

This charm allows a raksha to pass through the gateway Nirakara and exist as a shaped creature within Creation. The raksha expands her spirit outwards and upwards, embroidering it with threads of heavenly Essence. This charm causes all Creation-Born who meet its beneficiary to perceive her as a Little God, rather than one of the soul-ravishing Fair Folk. This does not guarantee a friendly response by any means; the response will, however, be decidedly friendlier that the one that would have been given, in most cases.

Underworld Influence

Though rare, some among the raksha find themselves drawn to the dark mystique of death and the Underworld. These charms charge the Fair One's body with necrotic Essence, slithering across its Graces and meridians like a serpent or a dragon. Most raksha refuse to learn them, for the Essence of death is diametrically opposed to the dynamic Wyld within their hearts. But those few who do compare the experience to what a mortal might feel under the effects of potent narcotics; it is terrifying and ecstatic at the same time. Like other charms of their type, these charms are works of glamour but affect only the raksha itself; others have no chance to see through the glamour.

Cast of the Ancestors

Cost: 1 gossamer
Duration: One Story
Type: Reflexive
Minimum Essence: 1
Prerequisite Charms: Assumption of Cerements and Bone

By drawing upon the reverence for the dead that exists in the back of all mortal's minds, a raksha is able to command respect from those who would stand against him. This charm gives the raksha access to the followinng ability that affects normal actions rather than shaping actions.
Revere the Dead: For 5 motes, the raksha may instill a somber, prayerful attitude in the minds of the Creation-born. They desire nothing more than to kneel down and pray to this embodiment of their ancestors. Each Creation-born creature within the raksha's Essence x 5 yards must succeed at a Temperance roll at difficulty 2 (difficulty 1 for devout followers of the Immaculate Order) or fall into a trance. While in this trance, they are highly susceptible to the suggestions of their ancestors and will recognize the raksha using this ability as an honored ancestor. Any request that can be completed with a minimum amount of effort will be heeded. These tasks include, but are not limited to: making burnt offerings, preparing a meal, or setting up a camp. Any attempt to make the entranced mortals submit to feeding breaks the trance and fills them with hostile feelings. The raksha must have the Assumption of Cerements and Bone active.

Terror and Pandemonium Posture

Cost: 1 gossamer
Duration: One Story
Type: Reflexive
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: Assumption of Cerements and Bone

Death is a thing of great fear for those of mortal stock, though the raksha may laugh it off like so much grime or inconvenience. Now, the raksha may draw upon that fear to demoralize opponents. This charm gives the raksha access to the following ability that affects normal actions rather than shaping actions.
Hateful Ghost Grin: By suddenly flushing his form with necrotic Essence, the raksha terrorizes foes into failure. This costs 5 motes. It imposes an environmental penalty on any witnessed action of which the raksha disapproves equal to [5 minus the target's Valor].

Shallow Grave Attitude

Cost: 1 gossamer
Duration: One Story
Type: Reflexive
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: Terror and Pandemonium Posture

Death must come to all things. Even the arrogant, immortal Fair Folk can recognize this truth of Creation. They can also, however, twist this truth to serve their own needs. This charm grants the following ability which affects normal actions rather than shaping actions.
Claws of the Uneasy Dead: For 5 motes, the raksha can attack others with all the little bits of death that linger all around them. Fallen twigs fly from the ground to stab at eyes, the half-digested skeletons of small birds and rodents climb the victim's legs, seeking blood, and the occasional human hand will rise out of the earth to grab at an ankle. This attack is undodgeable with a base lethal damage of the twice the raksha's Essence and a dice pool of Intelligence + Lore.
