I like the /idea/ of this artifact.  But it seems undercosted, especially without any requirement for commited essence.  For 1 dot you can generally add 2 dice to an ability roll.  Not having to make fatigue checks is better than +2 to making them, but is also a very narrow power, so generally balances out. (For fatigue reduction of 2).  +1B/+1L soak is not really a big deal, but when added to fatigue removal, and no essence commited, puts this as a high level 1 dot artifact (But still probably not a 2 dot artifact).  The maintainence requirement, though is probably a l2 effect all by itself, and catapults this well past the realm of l1ness, IMO.  For a 1 dot artifact, I'd probably make it -2 Fatigue (Which covers Articulated Plate, Gunzosha Armor, and Artifact Super Heavy Plate) and +1B/+1L.  And leave the maintainence thing out of it entirely.  - [[Scrollreader]]

Its your artifact!  Keep it where you like!  But the fatigue and soak aside, an artifact that reduces maintainence by half and has no attune value is probably worth l2 itself (at least, in my games).  Depending on how much your ST ignores maintainence and fatigue, ofc the value will differ.  I am quite fond of the idea, however.  - [[Scrollreader]]

Coming in several styles and colourings all these suits share a few common elements. They are skintight bodysuits that can be worn under clothing or when wearing armor. The clearly synthetic fabric breaths well and covers everything but the head above the neck and opens in the front with a barely noticeable zipper. Their cunning design makes them a boon to soldiers who wear them. These suits helped to minimize and conserve energy, cancelling out wasted movements by the body as well as help to regulate the bodies temperature to a degree.

Mechanically these suits reduce by 3 the Fatigue value of any armor worn including Warstriders. Any suit with a 0 or lower Fatigue Value does not require fatigue rolls due to the armor. These suits also add a point of Lethal and Bashing soak due to the strength of the material used. There are also Warsuits specifically designed for use in Warstriders that reduce the Fatigue of using those giants to 1 rather then the normal suit bonus.

In the First Age these were produced by facilities owned by a single Dawn Caste and the secret of their development lost with him. Few of these suits survive into the Second Age but occasionally they are found in old military bases from the Shogunate or older. Lookshy pays a premium price for these suits and reserves them for their warstrider and dragon armors. Elite Gunzosha sometimes also wear them as these suits are useable even by mortals. Due to the way they minimize wasted movement these suits cut down on wear and tear on armor. Double the time needed before maintanance if the user wears this armor while in them.

To start with one of these suits count them as an Artifact 1 while suits suitable for Warstriders are artifact 2.

- Scrollreader

Given how little I have seen Fatigue show up I am going to keep it at a level 1 artifact. -BogMod
