Those in the know understand that the organisation has several powerful patrons and access to a very powerful manse. The manse is Abyssal in nature, but has been turned to a much more positive purpose. Instead of a hearthroom, it instead contains a huge machine known as the Containment System. Ghost Traps can be placed in a slot on the machine and the ghosts trapped within the Ghost Traps will be drawn into the Containment System. There, they are held prisoner and slowly lose their fetters until they finally succumb to the pull of lethe. Hungry Ghosts and other lower souls are instead destroyed after a period of days equal to their permanent Essence, since they should have never existed in the first place. No ghost may escape to Oblivion within the Containment System. Only lethe is open to them so they may rejoin the cycle that was broken. The organisation keeps their secrets well so few people know much beyond the fact that they can deal with ghosts. | Those in the know understand that the organisation has several powerful patrons and access to a very powerful manse. Story Setting Fun
Here is where I convert ideas wholesale from various sources like movies and television into various setting details for Exalted. I'll convert organisations, places and other such fun things into usable details that an ST might like to use in his/her game. While I obviously have no copyright on the ideas, if you do use some of my conversions, do drop a note at least so I know how it works out.

Ghostbusters Organisation (Ghostbusters)
The Ghostbusters is a small organisation that consists of a group of Essence-users that run a successful ghost busting business. They have a good reputation throughout much of the Northern settlements and can be hired for very reasonable prices. It makes this group much more accessible to commoners and the poor and is a reason for their good reputation. They can be easily contacted to deal with any ghost problems that people and settlements might have and make a good living providing aid against hungry ghosts. They utilise unique equipment that few others have seen before and are rather efficient in getting rid of ghosts. The location of their headquarters is a closely guarded secret and they do not reveal the tricks of their trade. (For details on equipment, see Shorlixa/StorySetting/StoryArtifacts)

PPT Hospital Place (House)
This hospital is situated in Great Forks and has a good reputation as a place where healers and those interested in medicine may learn and the sick may come for healing and never be turned away. In general, it is an excellent hospital (even if no one knows what PPT stands for). But it also has a healer that has a different kind of reputation. An infamous kind of reputation. The healer is well known among the medical community as being brilliant but eccentric. His skills in diagnosis are legendary and he can tell the ailments of most patients with just a glance. He also has an incredibly caustic attitude and no respect for social courtesies. Coupled with his excellent insight into human nature, it means that he has a tendency to piss people off. It is only because the Three are known patrons of the hospital that the healer rarely receives more than a verbal reprimand. (That, and the fact that he’s usually right about what’s wrong with the patient.)
