Hidden Shores

During the High First Age, many Solar lords vacationed in the West when their duties became too onerous. Over time more and more pleasure palaces and resorts started cropping up in the West, but all the rest were as pale shadows to The Kingdom of Magic. Built on the back of Zaratan, the Island Turtle, a primordial turtle behemoth 5 miles long, the resort complex had everything: lovely beaches, sports arenas, pleasure palaces, hunting, riding, sailing, games of all kinds, rides, and everything else the best exalted artisans could devise. It was an island dedicated to fun, which, by the time of the Ursupation had become a monument to decadence, excess, and debauchery. Unfortunately for the Kingdom, there were Solars in residence during the night of long knives, so many of the delights were broken, both in the fighting and during the Dragon-Blooded cleanup of potentially dangerous Solar devices. Once the Dragon-Blooded had verified that the isle was no longer a threat, they left the battered and broken island to its own devices while they dealt with more pressing problems. The island sailed off into the west and was never seen again...

...Until 200 years ago, when it was discovered by a group of Dragon-Blooded Pirates and Realm Ex-patriots. After they accidentally reactivated Chita, the Central Thinking Automaton, and learned that many of the attractions could also be reactivated or rebuilt, they decided to reopen the resort.

Known Attractions:

  • A Game Preserve full of wild (and Wyld) animals for the hunting or watching.
  • Miles of clothing optional beaches made of immaculately white sand.
  • Brothels that boast not only some of the best mortal courtesans in Creation, but that still retain a fair number of bound sex demons and Solar pleasure automata.
  • Illusion Rooms that can craft a fully immersive fantasy experience, letting the user pretend to be anyone, anywhere, doing anything.
  • Sports Arenas with fields for any game known to the Ancient Solars, from wrestling rings and sky chariot tracks, to baseball diamonds and blitzball spheres.
  • A Spa complete with First Age alchemical concoctions and masseuse automata, for the ultimate pampering experience.
  • Full service Shogunate quality hotel rooms, with hot and cold running water, a built in communications system, and essence powered lights.
  • Gambling halls that contains practically unlimited forms of conventional gambling tables as well as a few hundred First Age game tables that can display any board or card game and play them against the user or let them play against others.
