Session 1
A tutorial telling my player how to fight
(I'm really not quite sure how to write APs, so if I do something wrong tell me.)
PC
Quiet Raven, a Endings caste assassin, under the employ of the Pattern Spiders to fix fate.
NPCs
As this was a tutorial session, all he did was learn to fight. There were:
- Some mooks
- Some random cultists
- A dragonblood, a modified Avaku
The Play
Act 1
Quiet Raven stood in the Loom of Fate, the tapestry that determined the lives of many spread out before him, stretching to infinity. The clicking of the Pattern Spiders' limbs echoed sharply around him. A Pattern Spider dropped to Raven's ear on a thin thread.
"I need you to travel to Nexus to kill this man." Whispered the Pattern Spider.
A picture of an average looking man flashed in Raven's mind. Quiet Raven nodded mutely.
Using the nearest gateway Quiet Raven made his way to Nexus, arriving at night. He quickly found the inn at which his target was located. With a quick check, Raven found that his target was in room three. Stealthily, he snuck into the room, and slayed his target while sleeping. Arriving at the city of the Gods, Quiet Raven was commended by the Pattern Spiders.
Act 2
Again Quiet Raven visited the tapestry. The same spider decended on his thread, informing him of new prey. This time he was to go to Sijan. Quickly he found the poor soul in the Mortal Realm, following him until he was alone, the mortal was easily slayed. Again his victorious return was celebrated by his masters.
Act 3
This time Quiet Raven was in his abode when they called. "You must destroy a cult who is meddling. Find them and destroy them."
Raven made his way to Cherak. Searching around, he quickly found the cult's base. He snuck inside and found six cultists. Killing one with his dark blade (Silent Endings found at My artifacts page) the mortal could only cry out before he succumbed to Lethe. The rest came at him rushing and drawing their blades. Before the others could act, Raven killed two by jumping into the air, spearing one with his blade, then jumping again to the other, settling into a defensive stance afterwards. There were three left, the leader and two followers. The followers missed, the novices they were. The leader's blade was parried by Raven's blade effortlessly. Swiftly, the other three were dispatched, and were thrown across the room by the force of the blows.
Raven turned away, but from the pedestal in the middle of the room came a laugh. "You have defeated my followers, but you will not defeat me."
Boss Battle
Avaku vs. Quiet Raven
In the cultist lair, two of the Exalted prepared to battle. Avaku, son of the Fire Dragon and Quiet Raven, Chosen of the Maiden of endings. Moving with the grace of the night sky itself, Quiet Raven flew forwards with his sword, leaping forwards towards his opponent, splashing through a puddle, and emerging on the other side of Avaku, sword dripping blood. Avaku clutched his wound, fire burning in his eyes. Avaku turned around, as swept his daiklave at the Celestine, but his movement was blocked by Raven's daiklave, his darkened body moving gracefully. Again Raven attacked, sweeping his sword, attempting to behead Avaku. Again Avaku failed to parry the blow, and this time it was deep. Howling in fury, Avaku made a last ditch attempt to destroy his enemy. Calmly, Raven blocked the blow, and thrust her blade into Avakus body. Avaku was dead. Raven walked out the door, setting the place on fire on his way out.
