Okay. :)

So, I'll tell you something, with the understanding that my saying it here doesn't answer complaints of "it should be in the book" *and* that my saying it here doesn't *mean* that it should have been in the book and that by posting I'm cheating people somehow. :)

The connection between the three things in the forest, besides their general participation in the posthuman & theological genres, is that each acquired its identity and nature from things that happened in the forest before the D-Bs got there. If you want them to be connected, you may assume that the original thing that lived in the forest no longer had a complete identity or nature of its own, and that's why pieces of it had to borrow one. Since the Sidereals are blind to it, it's either something outside of fate or something shielded by Solar sorcery.

The following just occurred to me:

  • There are three things in the forest.
  • They are pieces of something outside of fate that no longer has an identity or nature of its own.
  • Despite being pieces, they function as largely independent entities, each of which likewise has no identity of its own.
  • What do we know of that is outside of fate and has pieces of itself that function as independent entities?
  • Which Yozi smashed three pieces of herself onto Creation just before she was locked into Malfeas forever?

The things in the forest are the remnants of the three shattered spheres of She Who Lives In Her Name, and that's how the ambassador from the Yozis got into Atziluth Eternal!

My brain is going all twisty just thinking about this idea. I suspect it is an actual example of a Thing Man Was Not Meant To Know, and I just failed my SAN check. Rebecca is so cool....
