Glorious Saturation of Power

Cost: 5 motes, 1 Willpower
Duration: Exalt's Permanent Essence in turns
Type: Simple
Min. Presence: 5
Min Essence: 3
Prereqs: Terrifying Apparition of Glory

The Solar who invokes this Charm becomes a literal pillar of the sun, as a golden tower of Essence swirls about her and reaches miles into the sky. The Exalt's Anima totem is clearly visible for tens of miles atop the pillar of light. At its base, the tower has a radius equal to one yard per point of permanent Essence of the Exalt.

All who are in the Exalt's presence must avert their gaze from her or be blinded, yet the sheer majesty of the display is tempting. It requires a successful Temperance roll to look away. The blinding effect can be resisted by a successful Stamina+Awareness roll with a difficulty equal to the Exalt's Essence. The blindness must be successfully resisted each turn in which someone wishes to view the Exalt. Those within the base of the pillar of light must resist the blindness each turn, regardless of whether they look directly at the Exalt. The blindness lasts for the remainder of the scene for those outside of the radius of the base and for the Exalt's Essence in hours for those inside that radius.

The Exalt, herself, taps into her connection to the Unconquered Sun in using this Charm and pulls some of his burning glory into herself. Upon enacting this Charm, she must roll her Valor at a difficulty of her own Temperance. Each success on this roll results in the Exalt gaining a number of motes of Essence equal to her Presence as well as a single die of Lethal damage that is soakable by the Exalt's Permanent Essence.

I'm not sure about the mechanics on this. It seems overly complicated. On the other hand, I have the image of it in my head and... ow! I'm blind! - szilard
