Since then, she has been promoted by the General Staff to keep her on equal footing with the others in their new specialist ranger unit while the heads of the Lookshy army ponder the risks and benefits of keeping and officially recognising four Anathema as members of their military.

Fortunately, the terms of the duel forced him to return empty handed, vowing to return or to send another in his place so that she could be trained to reign in her animal instincts and be tattooed to fix her caste.

| − | Reia was once a very headstrong, independent young woman but the Lunar Exaltation has left her an outsider among outsiders: no longer mortal but Anathema, not a Solar but a Lunar, more animal than woman. | − | Reia is a beautiful young woman in the prime of her youth; now confident in her powers and also to maintain the appearances of normality in her ranger missions, she wears her long azure-silver hair unbraided, denotive of confidence and trust in the Lookshy style. Her eyes are blue-green, the colour of the sea. Like her totem, the cat, she is lithe and slim and moves with a similar predatory grace.
