Legendary Breeding (3pt.) - Iria is the wind. Or just about so. Her nonsensically impeccable breeding grants +6 Personal Essence, +11 Peripheral Essence, a -3m discount to activating her anima, +3 to rolls determining chances for her children to Exalt, a 1-die bonus to social rolls against other dragonbloods/mortals who respect and fear dragonblooded... and +2 to the difficulty of any attempts to pass as a mortal.

-Flaws-

Diminished Vision (2pt. version) - Iria wears glasses to correct for near-sightedness. If ever she loses them, she'll suffer a -2 dice penalty to any perception checks on things more than 3 yards away, as well as a -2 dice penalty on all ranged attacks.
Enemy (2pt.) - Iria's (somewhat older) cousin, Cynis Imure, was intensely jealous of the heavy attention Iria got in their mutual youth, and has sworn bitter rivalry against her. What form that takes is up for debate...

Bolt of Perfected Storms (short name: Stormbolt) [Artifact OO..., Blue Jade Vajra] - The Stormbolt is a favored weapon of her father's, passed down to Iria. It's a powerful enough weapon, but gains amazing speed due to the power of its color of jade, making it that much more fearsome. Elental used it back in his day as one of the few Air-aspects in House Cynis, something which had admittedly earned him some distrust. But he managed to make a name for himself, and the Stormbolt actually was part of it. It gained its name because it was once in the possession of a powerful Air aspect from the Shogunate era, who had once fought a legion of the Fair Folk during the beginning of the end of the Shogunate through a veil of furious storms conjured by her elemental grandeur - and with a massive dragon-graced toss, impaled one of their war-behemoths in the skull with the weapon, allowing her sworn brothers and sisters to kill it. As her aspect was that of the storm in specific, so too was that of the weapon. Since then it has been traditionally given to those who faced the external enemies of the Realm, and is shared with numerous houses, having entered House Cynis relatively recently as part of the original dowry Ravelle gave in their marriage.

Lightning Box [Artifact OO...] - A simple device, but Iria likes to make use of its power at times to shore up her considerable essence supply. Its tale is unremarkable compared to others, as simply a small artifact built by a Ledaal scion for their personal uses in supplying essence. In fact, it was born of laziness; made by a sorceress who often dabbled in magical experimentation and simply built the box off of an old First Age design because she, as she put it, "got sick of having to take a break because of burning through her essence." House elders gave it to Iria because they reasoned that she would make the best use of it due to her massive control over essence, which'd extend its usefulness above and beyond the norm.

- Placed outside during lightning storm, attracts a bolt that deals 10L piercing and ignites within 5 yards. After which provides a 31m boost if 1m is
spent to release it. Deals 15B armor-piercing damage when used, but Air Aspects are immune to this.

Triumphant Albatross Mantle [Artifact OOOO., Wings of the Raptor] - A rare and precious artifact, this long blue cape adorned with silvery wind designs becomes a pair of glorious wings that allow Iria to fly on her own power. It is, even compared to the Stormbolt, a storied and tremendously ancient artifact, as befits something of its power. It was originally made by a talented Air aspected apprentice of Salina herself, who served respectfully and actually, when her time came in the Usurpation, was one of the few dragonbloods who tried desperately to "restore reason to the Solars". She was killed for her efforts and erased from history, though her tale lived on in enough secret places that Iria actually knows it. Since then, while the heretical undertones of the artifact's old owner have never been truly forgotten (if obscured and marginalized), it has since taken on a long line of owners, from Shogunate heroes to noble warriors and sorcerors of the Realm. As if having indirectly touched the life of the last great mother of sorcery wasn't enough, the Triumphant Albatross Mantle was actually personally owned by Ledaal for a time, though in time she passed it down through the house. It was given to Iria by a sympathetic elder on the day of her return from the Heptagram, who felt that it only suited the most direct child of Mela in years to be given an ancient artifact of pure flight - and to ensure her survival in the face of what was feared to become her house's Impossible Requests.

Mind-Cleansing Gem [Hearthstone OO...] - +1 to both MDVs. Allows a touched target to oppose an unnatural mind control with an opposed willpower roll vs. their controller.
Memorial Iron [Hearthstone O....] - Allows recovery of one point of temporary willpower a day. In addition to the norm.

Master's Coat [Resources OOO.. Perfect Buff Jacket] - A preternaturally lightweight coat, but in truth made of layered silks and cloth to have protection superior to a conventional buff jacket, but without any of the weight. Very expensive but also very much worth it for Iria's fighting style.

Experience History

Biography

Iria is, in most any sense of it, a prodigy. Born to Ledaal Ravelle and Cynis Elental with exceedingly powerful blood via a careful marriage (and some
measure of utter chance), she was destined almost from birth for an inevitable Exaltation, and thus almost instantly was the darling of her household.
Her talents were carefully prodded at and cultivated, focusing on whatever thing she had an aptitude for, and consuming her entire waking life with it.
So dedicated were they that she hardly even had a life outside of studying lore and practicing with her throwing spears, among similar things. It, of
course, paid off, as she Exalted predictably young (practically on her 10th birthday, give or take a few days), and immediately had that much longer
to focus on her education with a brilliance her later-blooming peers could never have. As such she gained a very odd status in primary school, because
of her status. Young Dynasts would hover around her in hopes that the 'luck' would rub off on them, while others were intensely jealous of her. The best
description of her reaction, though, was... "The wind passes humanity by."
Indeed, Iria was aloof and unconnected to most of her peers, and had more in common with her instructors than the other kids - in a sense she considered
Exaltation to be like growing up early, and for most of her childhood treated even mortal adults as equals... and sometimes disapproving of even Exalted
children other than herself. Much as she would do in later life, her strange attitudes were tolerated only as far as her brilliance and breeding took her.
Fortunately, that was very far indeed, as she was so talented that she received early admittance to the Heptagram and ample funding with which to attend.
Naturally, the precocious young girl among people a few years older than her, and at such a crucial stage in their lives that every year counted... made
things even stranger. At ease amongst the inhuman things and inhuman feats around her, the bracingly human behavior of her peers only seemed harder to
understand and handle. There was teasing, there was abuse, and Iria hid farther and deeper from others, as best she could. Only her friends were relevant.
Only people who wouldn't take advantage of her because of her years mattered, and the cruelty of the rest wouldn't even be listened to. She grew deeply
bitter with the demands of house politics, and would have none of it - one of her desires that, as she grew to her later teens and graduated, her elders
could no longer turn a blind eye to.
Their displeasure with her attitude was clear and present, but... Iria didn't even care about that. Whether she had grown used to ignoring things
that were unkind to her or because her political apathy extended to that too... it didn't matter. She had a mission, had a clear idea grown from talks
with one of her favored instructors and her own discussions with more sympathetic house elders (...including her maternal grandmother...). The noble
houses, the Scarlet Throne itself could rot for all she cared. The Realm itself needed protection. It needed to advance past this pathetic shadow of
itself. And she saw what she had to do - and it rested in all the ancient lore, in the questions left unanswered by history. Where did the Great Contagion
come from? - The better to prevent it from ever happening again. Why did the Solars collapse into corruption and inspire the Dragon-Blooded Host to rise?
- They're coming back, and their madness will need to be curbed. Who are the Deathlords and where did they come from? - They must be cut down to their
rotted roots. And what arts and sorceries lie hidden from the world in the past or uninvented in the future? - If they can be found or created, we all
will be more ready to defeat the outside threats arrayed against us.
